4 Wheel Disc in VTi was introduced back in late 1998 models, ofcourse they were present in all later VTi trims. 4 Wheel Disc in EXi was introduced with 2004 face lift models.
2001 - 2002 were ABS supported, Older 6th generation models were not. And as mentioned above, EXi was never equipped with ABS.

Simply go for same shape 2001 VTi. Not only for the brakes but for a better engine as well.

don't worry, the non-abs brakes of EXi are pretty decent too..far better than most of the cars on the road.

    Sirs

EXI never came with ABS, I have a December 2005 model.

The 7th gen Exi has better brakes then 6th gen Vti 4 wheel disc, 2004 Face lift Exi has all 4 wheel discs.

    @ZarakD

You should get the VTI, better brakes, engine and alloys, 2001 VTi would almost cost the same, just make sure the previous owner has kept it in a good condition.

    Regards

    ^ +1
coz 7th gen EXi with 4 wheel disc has the benefit of Electronic Brake Force Distribution over the 6th gen VTi.

    Sir

Facelift Civic (November 2004 onwards, AFZ number) Eagle Eye has no ABS, but 4 wheel Discs, previously we owned the 2001 7th gen Civic, it has rear drums.

My uncle has a 98 VTI with 4 wheel Disc, 7th gen Civic (both eagle eye and before face lift) has better brakes then 98 VTI 4 wheel discs.

2005 Exi Eagle eye only looks goods, cosmetic changes in exterior, interior, I would go for a 2001 VTI any day.

But the important thing is the condition of car, a well kept Honda South maintained EXI would be much better then a roughly kept VTI.

Eagle Eye Exi in excellent condition, with around 70K driven, will cost you around .85M to .95M for PROSMATIC.

PROSMATIC is real gem, whether it is Exi or Vti, specially for a city like Karachi, they are more reliable also, to some extent.

2001 VTI in a good condition will cost you around .75M.

    Regards
