    Salaam,

Well to be honest with you it is very hard to tell just by looking at the picture , it could be B16, B18, OR H22 not sure !!! any one could change the tappit cover of the engine , but one thing is for sure that it is a DOHC engine of Honda , and if the seller claims that it is a D16 series engine let him , you are getting a DOCH engine for the price of a SOHC engine .

any way i could be wrong also i lost touch with Honda engines ,since iam gathering more information on rotary engines .

    bye.

True, I can tell difference when its H22 as the entire block is much bigger but with B20, B18 and B16 its bit hard to tell just from pictures. Seen a lot of B16s, B18s and B20s with different heads ie head of 16, 18 or 20 lol. Yeah I'm bit confused now too, not your fault as all B series head fit each other (as far as I know)

    Moak to the rescue

Thank you for the info, didn't know there was a DOHC in D16. Its non-vtec so guessing the power output would be about the same as SOHC D16 vtec isn't it?

Yeah I thought so too plus its auto... here is the add

1992 HONDA CIVIC SPORT RED on eBay (end time 25-Apr-10 20:30:52 BST)

Don't know if it is the same owner who was selling it 2-3 weeks ago but I did ring him at that time and he claimed in the add to be B16 but then someone questioned him saying it is D16 (so he altered the add and said he isn't sure hence the buyer check themself)

@sumair. hehe yea...many people dont know about this engine and confuse it with a b18LS or b20(they think its either LS or b20 with a different type of valve cover).
about the power...earlier versions produce somewhat lower power then a sohc d16...but one version of the dohc zc produces 140hp...good for boosting
