    Civic has i-VTEC not vvti!

    Civic is the best option, coroLLa is not a car worthy enough to go for!
    cowroLLa's are to be driven in villages by villagers, while Civic's are to be driven in town by gentlemen!
    Civic:

    - 5 Speed Prosmatec Transmission(lower revs on high speed means better fuel economy)

    - GCON approved Chassis

    - ABS+EBD

    - Dual Airbags (Passenger + Driver)

    - Fold able Side Mirrors

    - Aerodynamic body structure

    - Low Ride Height(means better handling) + the car is much more stable!
    Type of Racing Bucket Seats(so you don't go sliding off the seat, keeps you in position)

    - Has a 140Hp(174Nm Torque) 1.8L i-VTEC SOHC engine

    - And is much more reliable and DURABLE then cowroLLa!
    cowroLLa:

    - 4 Speed Auto (means higher revs on higher speed = Less Fuel Economic)

    - Body is just............. no comments!(not that much aerodynamic)

    - NO foldable sideview mirrors(means u have to get out of the car to fold the mirrors and then park it)

    - ABS(which works once in a while)

    - Single Airbag(Only Driver)(who's going to save the passenger?? Toyota's owner?)

    - Not Aerodynamic Body(has a HUGE face which means their will be more air resistance which means more Power is required from car which means Less FUEL ECONOMIC)

    - High Ride Height (Unstable at high speeds) and has bad handling! its tail drifts out at speeds of 90-100kmh on slight turns(dangerous)

    - Has 130Hp(170Nm torque) 1.8L DOHC vvti engine

    - and is not at all reliable! Durable for VILLAGES!
    You don't when your cars accelerator pedal would be sticking to the floor and there would be nothing that you could do about it! and you never your going on the highway when your car suddenly starts to drift right or left wherever it wishes(DUE TO THEIR FAULTY EPS SYSTEM)

    after this if you still want to buy cowroLLa, then bro ALLAH HAFIZ apka!

    otherwise CIVIC!

    i would recommend a civic over altis anyday.

    Civic will have a new shape in less then a year i guess, cuz this one came in 2006 and they change in max 5 years. So wait for the new shape cuz this ones going to be old or buy corrolla which doesnt change shape for ages lol

    I really hate it when fanboys speak senselessly and without using their minds for starters.

    Both the cars have their own pros and cons and are at equal footing. Each car has features which the other does not have. I can start with leather seats, triptronic transmission and cruise control for the corolla which the civic does not have. Similarly civic has the looks, is faster and has better build quality.

    I would suggest that you test drive them both; probably should rent them for a day and then decide. But yes, do keep this in mind that none is 'superior' compared to the other. As I said before, each has its own pros and cons. Decide the one which you like the best

    @SamiAlvi

    You speak like a true 17 year old. Maybe when you dad brings home a COWrolla, we will see the feelings on your face

    being a fanboy isnt a sin! id prefer the civic over the altis anyday!

    @mani1, its not only about the features bro... the faults that come with the altis are mind blowing! poor finish, ABS not upto the mark, EBD system doent work until n unless uve completely lost control! that is personal experience... was with a friend in his altis, we braked hard n tried to maneuvour..... unfortunately it tailed out n there was no power cut, no nothing... the EBD did absolutely nothing to control the car!

    sporty looks, better engine n build quality isnt the only thing! the most important thing is the dual airbags! then small features like folding side view mirrors etc etc come!
    i wudnt say its a bad car... but the finished product we get here in pakistan is below standard! that is why id prefer the civic... atleast theres some quality control!

    @Hondafanatic

    Lets not get into the nitty gritty shall we? I see that you are from Lahore. You are welcome to go and visit Javaid Motors and ask him how many civics have been to his garage whose airbags did not deploy at the time of front collision despite seat belts being engaged. Ill bet you will be surprised about the 'quality control'

    And as far as retractable mirrors or map lights for the rear are concerned, I'd rather have triptronic transmission and cruise control.....Thank You

    Last but not the least, what do you say we do a drag and braking test? I suppose you have the civic prosmatec? If yes, I have Altis cruisetronic '10 and we can have friendly checks and confirm? You see, I could have done the tests myself (also own civic prosmatec '10) but its a 'nazuk' car and I would only want to rape one of my new cars at a time

    And btw while we are at it, let me correct some of the very beautiful points our dear Samialvi raised

    And btw Sami rest assured, I won't be biased

    1)You said corolla is less aerodynamic. You dont happen to own a wind tunnel I suppose? Because if you do, then I won't argue. I would however accept your argument if you contend that all the designers and engineers who designed this car are morons and did not know a thing about aerodynamics

    And oh, would love if you could share the drag coefficients of both the corolla and civic

    2)Retractable side mirrors.....Oh yes! Last time I checked, I had only used this feature on my civic, what, 2 or 3 times in this year? Thanks but no thanks

    3)ABS which works once in a while! Could you have been any more preposterous? What do you say, I show you ABS working on my civic and corolla each and every time? Now please dont ask me to brake from 160 or any other insane speed!

    4)Unstable ride height! Ah yes. Last time I checked, I drove comfortably at 160 on motorway navigating the slight turns without any problem whatsoever. Care to explain?

    5)Tall gear ratios.....Hmm. What do you say I post a pic of Altis doing 135km/hr with RPM at 3.1k RPM?

    6)Less HP and Torque. Yes, the civic is faster and no question about it

    7)Reliability. Can't really comment because you see, both my cars are only 3 months old but I get from your post that you have a great deal of love with both of them. Mind sharing how exactly corolla wasn't reliable?

    Funny thing here is that I also love the civic. Its just that I can't stand anyone outrightly dismissing the competition

    I dont know what will happen to honda fan boys when they sit in the W221. For them Hondas are the end of their lives.

    @ Mani1

    Bro I have driven the new civic many times and for hours. I personally like 'the car but i was shocked to see how harsh the ride qualitywas. It was way too bouncy. Is the corolla's ride quality same aswell?

    @Saaduk

    Corolla has a softer suspension and ride is smoother but civic has better road grip.
