Dear Pakwheelers,
I hope you all will be enjoying good health. Bros my uncle owns a civic 86 model. The problem is, that the oil of the power steering is leaking on sharp turns. He got the work done for 2000Rs to rectify the issue, but of no avail. The oil is still leaking. My uncle is now frustrated as even spending 2000Rs and a whole day at workshop the issue is still not addressed.
I have given him the suggestion if the repairing cost is around 3000Rs, then add another 7k and get the EPS instead of hydraulic. In my viewpoint, he will get rid of the fluid and pulleys stuff. Now i have two questions.
If he goes for the repair, what should be the cost of repair and what is the best place to get it repaired. What is the guarantee that the steering will work fine for a good period of time?
Secondly if he goes for the EPS, then of which car EPS he should install? What will be the cost including Labour? From where it can be done?
Last but not least, what do you guys suggest among the two options above? What are the pros and cons.
