if you choose to upgrade the wheels and tyres you must factor in that the new rims must not be too wide, have the wrong offset and that the tyres are the correct size otherwise you will run into all sorts of issues.
depending on your requirements we can suggest a setup for you.
if you just drive from point A to B then you should stick with stock steel wheels and fit better tyres (you can fit wider tyres while lowering the sidewall profile).
if you intend on making the car LOOK fast (but actually slow it down) then go for 17's.
if i had the car i'd not go larger than 14 or 15 inch with the correct size tyres. do note the wider doesn't mean more grip, sometimes there is a tradeoff to grip with rolling resistance and therefore power transfer and fuel economy. i think on a stock OR modified 95 civic a 195 tyre is more than enough.
as for tyre brand and compound, go for the freshest tyres you can find and buy from a trusted supplier. sadly most tyres in PK are smuggled and have had their date stamps altered.
