Default Civic 2005 Prosmetic. Problem starting the car

Well im having some problems starting my car. Sometimes i turn the keys but the car doesnt give ignition.. Basically nothing happens. I have the whole key turned but its like the car doesnt respond. Then suddenly after 4-5 tries the car switches on.

What is the problem? Is it a battery issue? Sometimes the car switches on fine but sometimes (usually in day time) it does this problem.

From the symptoms, it seems you're trying to start the car in gears other than N or P.

if the switch turns on and it doesnot give ignition then its battery fault (Sure it will give ignition after 3-4 tries but after that it wont do it again, same thing happened to me)
It May be that the lifetime of the battery is over or You Need to charge it again..
i was having the same problem because my car was parked for sometime then i installed dry cell battery and now everything is fine..

Also by any chance your car starts then pull the choke up a bit and let it stay started for some time to let it charge itself , my car started after 3-4 tries but after some time when i let go of the throttle the car shutdown permanantly , after that it didnt even give ignition

Sir check your battery, battery terminals and battery thoroughly, keep them clean and tightly placed.

There should be nothing serious to worry about.

I was having the same issue with my corolla, I assume when you turn the key you are getting all the indicators working properly but ignition doesn't work. I got the car self serviced and now its start on half self. Just a suggestion.
