    Cool Civic 2004

Hey guys, im new to the car business.

i drive honda civic 2004, shalimar rose color.

Previously it used to be a powerhorse.. but now it just slacks like a sloth..

i drive it on cng... i have done everthing
changed oil, air filter and got my car tuned.. still performance is very low.

i was wondering if any of you guys.. expert at civics.. help me out on this performance issue..

Also im thinking about doing slight modification to my ride.
    1. exhaust and piping
    2. plugs (which ones should i get)
    3. air intake

now as im new to this business... i have absolutely no idea where to get it done from and how much will it cost.. im afraid i might get ripped off by the rascals

so if anyone can guide me through this, il be very obliged...
id like to know any good mechanic who can do all these modifications and the crude sum of money it will cost. (in pindi or islamabad)

p.s im using my bros account here, as the new account i made didnt have the privilege to create a new thread

    Ali here

As time passes, car engines due tend to get weaker.

however about the mods, you can visit Dubai Autos. hes a good guy for performance upgrades.

you can get a muffler with 2.5inch downpiping though your fuel consumption would increase, and your car would not remain family friendly IMO

plugs, i guess NGK are best, though dubai autos staff can guide you better.

air intake, you can find k&n filters or get a custom fabricated from dubai autoz.

its for my personal use. so a little more consumption wont matter

you mentioned engines tend to get weaker by time.. is there anyway i can rectify that ?

and the dubai autos you mentioned where is it.. and are their rates fair ?

Well that is not rectifiable, but lets wait for experts, cause im having a feeling that something is choked in your engine which is making your car feel sluggish.

Rates are not specific as it all depends upon quality,
good quality and imported exhaust costed me around 8k, so expect something around that range if quality is your preference
plugs can range to around 1.5k-2.5k i guess, i never got mines changed.
air intake would also cost around 6k, filter is not so expensive, but the pipe which needs to be fabricated costs alot.

their rates are comparatively slightly higher then the market but thats only for a few goods, these guys are really good at their work and take full responsibility of their work incase of future faults etc.

the rates i gave you were market rates, but i am sure that they will supply you same or better stuff in given range.

Also change fuel filter of ur car n get pressure checked of Fuel pump they use to go weaker by time.
For spark plugs go for OE recomended Denso IK16s or IK 20 or NGK BKR6eIX-11 n for air intake as ur using cng better go for Smaller filter not too big

Sounds a bit awkward to me as I remember that dubaiautos modified a white alto which had CNG.

As far as I know, you wont have any performance goin on cng with intake, but when you switch to petrol you`ll receive the extra gain.

Sir no need to use CA intake or exhaust, just use the iridium plugs, high quality air filter and do the maintenance regularly as mentioned in owner's manual.

If you want performance, remove the CNG.

get your CNG cylinder cleaned from oil, it will be taken out from the car & turned upside down to drain the oil.
& also get CNG kit cleaned as well, mechanics will clean it with patrol.

Just install iridium plugs, quality air filter & oil filter. also check fuel pump pressure.

do not go for intakes & exhaust that would only increase noise, which will force you to believe that your car is performing good, but it would only be noise.
I'm struggling to please ALLAH, I'll suggest you do the same.
