the brakes were pretty gud wen i had an 05 civic...
but wot i think...they hav placed da same brakes in a faster and heavier car..
although jdmz r supposed 2 b 'betr'..but the brakes in civic r a lil less than 'gud'

    Get the brake pads checked.

I once braked on highway at 140 to save a dog and my car was pretty much steerable and decelerated to 60kph in matter of 2-3 seconds. But since your 3 civic are having the same problem then thats weird.

ABS is not there to reach zero quickly, but it is ment to let you give control to maneuver away from the hazard while reducing the speed.

Cylestine, he is talking about Bridgestone B390s which came as stock ones before Eurostar. They were some what reasonable then Eurostar but had pathetic traction. The tyres used to skid while accelerating and were not comfortable at all.

Yeah I remember my car came with those as well. Not good tires at all -- but the ride quality is far superior to eurostar lol.

No one has ever complained about Civic brakes (aside from fools who don't own the car and never probably will).

What Bridgestones do you have? Potenzas by any chance? Its not a very good tire in my opinion. Has good ride comfort but the grip is just so-so. And the Eurostars are just pathetic tires... completely hopeless, don't expect anything good out of them.

Get some better tires like Sumitomo or Yokohamas or even Dunlops. If your emphasis is ride comfort, I highly recommend Sumitomo. It is a JDM tire and is fantastically balanced. Try it first on one car which has Eurostar and see the difference.

I hope you understand that the brakes on the Civic are not made in Pakistan. The braking system is purely designed and made in Japan by NISSIN Kogyo Co. Ltd, which is a very well known brake manufacturer.
Sir jee +1 - i also own civic 8g no braking issue at all. and that ABS of pak comments was hilarious
