    Unhappy 95 civic swap

    Hi guyes i wana swap my original carby engine coz my engine loses all his power and now become old. m bit cunfused in this matter i need lil help here from u guys, hope u do.

    1- i heard alot about d15b3 and i always wana know that what is difference b/w single vtec n dual v tec. Is it is easy to find here in lahore ?what will b the cost of that without gear box,ecu,fuel injector, airfilter boxes etc.

    2- many machanics recommended me the engine of 03 -04 civic which is d15y3 rite? whats the cost of that engine in lahore??? with everything comlplete.and does it take any alternation??

    3- last thiing is which engine is called (CF honda) any idea?

    Bro, as I mentioned earlier, D15B3 is NOT the one you're looking for - its D15B(period)
    You'll need the head, block, intake manifold, throttle body, wiring, distributor, throttle body. Rest is your choice but your old stuff must do fine.
    All the stuff you mentioned is included in complete setup but you don't really need to get them all. Just take an experienced mechanic with you and he'll guide you for what you need.

    Even though you don't need transmission, but you might wanna change the clutch setup, do check with your mechanic for that.
    Head assembly + intake manifold complete is around 25-30K
    Wiring + ECU + electrician around some 12-15K
    Clutch, engine oil, plugs around 10K
    Labor... some 5K

    go for d15b - single vtec (its more powerful then the dual vtec and its inbuilt is better as well) ... other then that i have experienced both dual nd single and i would recommend u single vtec ... dual is better eco wise and single is made for performance .... if u want eco then dual mite be better for u .... and u wont have to bare much cost as u already own civic 95 so mounting will match most probably (but i agree with UIV u have to take yr mechanic with u who has swapped this engine before u cant decide on engine alone) .... and the gear that comes with d15b single or dual vtec is normaly s20 or s40 ... but i guess yr tranny mite work .... just find an experienced mechanic first
