    Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

    the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

    Air filter change @ 10,000kms
    Use Honda filter. If any other then change earlier.

    Timing belt: Not required. Civic 8th gen has timing chain instead of belt which usually last a life time.

    Tune-up @20,000 kms.

    Throttle plate cleaned, valves adjusted, plugs cleaned/replaced and idle adjusted using HDS.

    Guys, I'm interested in buying a PKDM 8th Gen Civic (2007-12). Car should be in original paint, a few scratches would be acceptable (not too much though), car should have no accidents, should be driven less than 75,000KMs, odometer reading should be original, should be in good shape (interior, exterior), it should be mechanically sound, should have an Islamabad plate. People who want to sell me their cars with the odometers rolled back and panels repainted please refrain. Car should have a sunroof, can be automatic or manual. It should be located here in Rawalpindi or Islamabad.

    bro the one dealer is giving me civic 07 full option at 11.5 and he said i changed headlights bumpers and put some kinda foundation in engine else I don't know what that means btw and he said it will be ready after one week. what say about it ? and once he said engine pa kaam hunay wala hai . give me your advice. and your advice is always my first priority thanks .

    A Reborn in rough condition once disturbed will constantly keep giving you problems. It will keep eating money out of your pocket. Also the maintainence work done by the dealer will be temporary jugaar as his main motif is to save money. Try buying a well maintained original car.
    Such problematic cars can only be bought at a very cheap price maybe like 10 and 2 lakh to spare for spending on it and then reconditioned by yourself like a project car. But such a car apparantly repaired already will in the longer run become more expensive after you keep spending on it to make it trouble free than a good car you can buy in a slightly higher price.

    i have a budget of 12 extreme but I couldn't find good car in it. and everyone says 10 sal purani car hai original nahi milay ge. i have tlaked to many dealer wo aj kal aj kal he krty hain . and as you said I'm not going for that car.

    Nope.in reborn immobiliser came only in oriel version.
    In 9th gen immobiliser was standard in all models
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    Immobilizer is a standard option on all 8th Gen Civic trims, only the keyless lock/unlock remote type buttons were standard on Oriel. Immobilizer is an ignition system that's related to startup with only encoded key which pairs up with the starting system. Even the standard key which does not have a lock/unlock button has an immobilizer inside it.
    Only the buttons were not there on hardtop versions.
