Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

My terminals were loose and had to use a nail to tighten them. So I got these from AliExpress for 10 USD and paid 1,200 Rs on customs and duties, delivered to my home. Took them to an electrician and he grind the existing punched portion of the terminal so that it can fit into one of the holes of this new terminal. This way we did not shorten the length of the cable.

    I hope this helps.

    Default A few Important Upgrades

    Hey guys!

Recently my Civic 8th Gen clocked 50,000kms and it was time for its tuning. Since I have heard a lot of good reviews about Liqui Moly Products, therefore, I finally decided to try them on this car. So I opted for 10w-40 and 240ml of Cera Tec (Calculated according to the engine size). Furthermore, I got hold of the original K&N air filter to replace the old one. Got the throttle body and plugs serviced, wheel balancing, alignment and also checked for any fault codes recorded in the ECU. The pictures below shows the products for reference:

I also decided to upgrade the head unit with an after market android unit. I have previously tested the OEM android display of Toyota Grande and connected it successfully with an OBD2 adapter to get the live feedback from the ECU through a dedicated application called Torque Pro. Hence, I installed Torque Pro in Civic's Head unit and here are the pictures from the upgrade:

8th generation Civic fan and owner club -17153408th generation Civic fan and owner club -17153418th generation Civic fan and owner club -1715343

The performance of Torque Pro with the OBD2 Wifi adapter is quite good, there is hardly any noticeable delay in the output. However, the OBD2 port location in this Civic is hard to reach, that's why I used an extension cable to make my life easier whilst plugging/Unplugging it.

    Cheers!

    Hi guys,

Can you help me get my cars suspension fixed here in karachi? I got it fixed around 4 months back and its not at all comfortable. The left shock is harder than the right and i think something else is cracked too cuz every time the car starts moving there are weird sounds like cracking metal and stuff. Can you help me get a good pair of shocks and repairs from a reliable mechanic?

Its probably wheel bearing at fault. Oem cost 8500 each which should last next 100k and non oem cost 4500 which should last 50k

As far as I remember, Nexen is not a high end brand.

What rims do you have? In my advice the first look comes with rims and the most decent rims for this model are 5 Spoke Oem 16s. Rims immediately change the overall look of the car. A combination with 205/60-16 or 215/55-16 Tyres would look hawt with the car.

    Option 1: 8th Gen Oem 16s
    Option 2: Honda CRZ 16s
    Option 3: Civic 10th 16s

    Default Heating Smell in Cabin

    Salam

I have noticed a strange problem in my civic 2011. There is a heating smell in cabin when I rev my car to maximum while driving. But when on low rpm there is no such smell. what could be the reason?

Please note its not burning smell.

    Thanks
