Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

I had bought terminals from second market of from Japanese car and then I punched/pressed the wires on a thimble and made my new terminal.

Keep in mind punch/press will do the job

    R18 doesn't need conventional tuning.
    It only requires

    1. Tappet adjustment
    2. Spark plugs cleaning
    3. Throttle body cleaning
    4. Throttle body calibration (after cleaning)
    5. Air filter cleaning/ replacement
    6. Computer check up for any stored fault codes

My terminals were loose and had to use a nail to tighten them. So I got these from AliExpress for 10 USD and paid 1,200 Rs on customs and duties, delivered to my home. Took them to an electrician and he grind the existing punched portion of the terminal so that it can fit into one of the holes of this new terminal. This way we did not shorten the length of the cable.

    I hope this helps.

Do they still change oil mounting for free. Mine is 2011 and has done 60K, it started vibrating few days ago. I didn't notice much but I was at Honda point getting the 60K service done. At the end of the service when the guy started and drove the car a little he pointed out the vibration and I was like yes I its doing that for last few days. He had a quick look and said, it's the oil mounting, it needs replacement. I was already late so I just drove off.

So anyone got it changed for free recently.

If anything, it's reborn's copy. It was launched I guess in 2010 in Australia. It's called Chevy Cruze.

They will change it for free... if the dealership says they cannot do it for free, email to Honda Pakistan. I used the same technique, took a week but got it done for free.

On a serious note, it could be leaked PS oil causing the sound when pump is cold or check your adjustor

FYI if anyone wants to just change (and not flush) atf of his 8th gen civic please use original honda atf in 3 litre quantity .. and correct amount mentioned in first post is 2.4litre which is incorrect .. as today ive changed atf of my car and 2.9 litres is exactly what use to came out .. after 49000 km oil was slightly brownish in colour then poured in fresh brand new honda genuine atf (dw-1) in reddish shade .. it comes in 1 litre bottle and requires total 3 bottles to top it up to required level .. each bottle cost 1140 rupees .. after successful procedure start your car and drive it a bit and check all gears then stop the car turn it off wait for 1 minute to cool down the atf oil and then check the level via dip stick .. also if it doesnt gets sold by that time i have plans to go for another oil change procedure after driving my car for another 500 km or so because in that way whole oil will be new again i believe (please do correct me if am wrong anywhere) thanks !

yes maybe you are right about that .. but i have read somewhere that if you go for drain and fill only instead of complete oil flush then only half oil comes out and the rest of the dirty oil remains inside torque converter which doesnt comes out so if one wants to change all the remaining old dirty oil with new he should change it twice or thrice after driving the car for 500 km so all the oil mixes up .. but if you go for complete atf change by flush method then remember flushers can cause damage or stir up settlements that can later cause problems ..

"only flush the transmission if the atf fluid is in good condition (in pinkish colour) but if the atf fluid is in dark brown colour or in black colour and smells burnt then always perform fluid change"
.. in my case my car atf fluid colour was dark brown so i go for fluid change instead of whole flush with brand new fluid .. heres the link where i learnt all that
