Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

Does any body know how much a facelift bumper costs around? I want replica one.
And how much depo fog lights costs around? As my car is simple VTI and I need to install them.
Secondly my car slightly gives kick/jerk while accelerating it.
Like Im driving in 2k rpm range and suddenly floor it with or without changing gear. It gives a kick and then goes vrooom. Is it normal or I need to get it checked?

May be the ivtec disengages? Or it could be as simple as a faulty clutch plate? Well to be honest, I never faced such issue in our 2010 model, not sure about the earlier models.

P.S Did you get the faulty engine mount and the power steering feed pipe replaced?

bro its not clutch plate coz I'm damn sure. Clutch works flawlessly. Maybe its i-vtec. coz never faced this issue in higher rpms. This is my first 8th gen manual. Previously I have owned prosmatec. and that was smooth as silk.

Bro I'm lucky as I really got a pampered ride. Everything is in perfect condition M.A. Power steering feed pipe and engine mount are in perfect condition as I never felt any sort of vibration at speeds ranging from 120-140-160-180.

Here I got the answer to my query. Is this VTEC disengaging in our R18? - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum
    M.A yes bro and thanks.
Some people say its DBW lag and some say car is coming out of economy mode. and it exactly happens when I'm cruising on 50km/h with 3rd or 4th gear engaged and I suddenly press the gas pedal to gain acceleration in the same gear.

Ummm, my opinion won't go for the DBW lag, because in most of the cases, DBW lag is unnoticeable to a normal driver, it won't cause a jerk no matter what.

DBW lag is like, you step on the gas BUT the throttle body's servo motor takes time to initiate opening of the butterfly. Because its electrically controlled and the sensors sometimes need time to respond. That's when you would feel "Pedal dabaya hua hay but khenchai nai kar rahi".

In analog throttle controls, like in 7th gen, you feel the kick instantly, but it won't jerk even if you literally slam the pedal down.

Power delivery is smooth when the transmission and the clutch system is in perfect harmony. Jerks due to sudden power delivery can be felt in cars having 400 BHP and above (like BMW M6 and some modded swapped local vehicles).

Therefore what I think is its the ivtec disengage, that can cause a jerk due to sudden power release. Just my opinion though, I could be wrong since I am no professional.

Bro I also think it's I-vtec disengage. I hope there is no issue in transmission. Will get transmission oil chagned as car has clocked 75k kms.
If you are in ISB these days. You can have an idea by taking a drive of it.
