Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

Some say Grease should be used instead of wd40. It lasts longer.....
Bro had got it done from Honda 3s guy. I just told him to Lubricate clutch cylinder as clutch is hard.

Its useless don't go for it. It would only look good for a month or so. Side skirts will crack and break by hitting on high speed breakers and the front lip would also suffer the same fate, only the lip on back would survive. Not worth it don't go for it. It is not compatible with the roads here. Just go for nice rims and a decent spoiler if you want.

Is anyone facing cold startup starter motor noise? I'm facing this issue only in cold startup. What's the solution for it? There is no rattling or anything else. There is a grinding sound if I crank it in the morning.

Using fiber bodykit for the last 11 months now
Not useless at all , never hit any speed breaker or any footpath
Yes if u want to cross speed breakers at 30 to 40 km/hr then its a diff story
I never installed plastic body kits in any of my car b/c they are very expensive as compared to fiber ones
If u have a good painter then even fiber one will look good and this car has a good clearance with the bodykit which I have on my car it never touches any speed breaker
The fiber bodykit costs around 5 to 6k
Contact FAHAD bhai a pw member for details
If u want to save on paint job even a plastic one will look poor
I spent 9k for the paint job only
But the result was great and still looks beautiful MA SHA ALLAH

A real nice civic you've got there bro.
It's my bad, I absolutely have no idea of roads in karachi. I just said on the basis of my experience in sahiwal city where most of the speed breakers are similar to K-2 Paharri which ruins the bodykit. Maybe the roads of karachi are good. If this is the case then one should not hesitate going for a bodykit.

    Drive carefully
Dnt cross speed breakers @ higher speeds
Be careful while parking infront of any shop it might hit the footpath this car already has a poor visibility
Wax it regularly every 15 days
Clean it properly with soft cloth daily
I can give u the contact no. Of my painter
He will charge u around 8 -9k for the paint job ( front n rear lip 2 sideskirts and trunk lip spoiler I.e 5 pieces ) but u will love the paint job

    U have a gun metallic civic ?
Install 17s if u drive on smooth roads otherwise any other good branded 15s alloys u can also go for original 16s civic alloys
Get oem red H Monograms for front rear and steering
Install fogs , hids in fogs n low beam
    Get it bodykitted
Tint the rear glass and buy shades dnt get the whole car tinted bc of strict security these days
Get oriel type side mirrors with indicators u can get them from zamzama
Try searching for multifunction steering wheel
Install dvd player with back camera if u dnt have at present
I know the list has already crossed 1 lac mark go for the upgrades slowly n gradually
Now m tired best of luck
Keep posting n sharing the pic of ur bebo with add ons

Speaking of Navigation, do you know that you can get the latest IGO version that comes in the 9th gen Civic installed in the 8th gen Civic?

I had it done by Tracking World. Upgrade cost is just Rs 2000/- . It is a really a huge improvement over the old software.
