Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

Guys I'm having an issue. My check engine light turns on for a few minutes and then goes out by itself. Sometimes it stays on for longer time. If I go to Honda workshop, will they be able to retrieve the error from the ecu even if the light is off at that time

Thanks Bro. Got it checked from Honda already. They advised me to mix high octane with super cuz carbon accumulates on the oxygen sensor

Hmm maybe I'm wrong. It was sensor S1 and they removed something from the catalytic convertor and cleaned it. The problem is gone now.

I have been getting really good mileage figures from my Manual Civic.
Got tank refueled from Caltex F-6. Drove around for 320 kms and Today again got it refueled from same pump and only 25L fuel was refilled. Which turns out to be almost 12.8km/l with Normal + hard foot and several trips to Pindi commercial market and saddar area.
Car is strictly kept on factory specs with Tyre pressure 30 psi in and rims are properly balanced. Mileage of car is around 89k.

Well I drive with care and take proper maintenance of car strictly. Manuals are way better than Prosmatec when it comes down to economy/speed. Prosmatec transmission is good when you have to drive in rush hours and in congested areas.
Fuel quality also plays a very important role. I only get my car refueled from best station of Islamabad.

Well Friends my very first drive on my civic 2012 vti oriel manual. and i just love it
Acceleration, Drive smoothness, comfort, road clearance, balance on road, everything is superb mashallah
and the thing people discuss more here ..... Fuel Consumption..... its simply great in local drive Islamabad City and Rawalpindi it gives me 11.75 Km/L and mix up of GT road and my village roads it gives me the 14.53 Km/L. which is very good for a 1.8L engine.

At 100+ it feels driving around just 65 - 70 kmph.
Nothing Changed all Stock just changed Engine Oil ZiC A+.
Will Update Pix and more performance with fuel efficiency as well soon

    Have Fun
