Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

Do Honda ppl really clean it? Or they just remove it? Cuz I asked Honda classic people ojce and they said we only check converter and tell whether it is blocked or not.

Nice. Can you please elaborate more about throttle controller? Any specific difference in pick/top speed?

Thanks buddy. The basic functions of a throttle controller are
A). to imrove fuel economy (while driving on economy mode) and
B). To imrove the throttle output you get from the car (sports mode - better acceleration)
Furthermore, there are 7 levels on the sports mode - the higher the level, the better the pick. And there are 5 levels on the economic mode, the higher the level, the better the fuel economy. And then you have the normal mode, which is basically the same throttle response as the manufacturer. A great investment indeed

Dear brothers at pakwheels, I have bought a well maintained 2010 oriel prosmatec 49k kms driven 2 months back. My friends told me that it is a gas guzzler and now I know for sure it is. Despite of my light foot driving and hypermiling, I have not been able to get more than 7.25 kms/ltr. for city driving. Haven't been able to take it to the highway yet. I have just changed the oil (ZIC 0w30) and got it serviced from Honda dealership and still have to see any improvement in the consumption. Suggestions plz??

Did you have the throttle body cleaned? The following needs to be changed at 40k air filter, engine oil+filter, gear oil, fuel filter and tuning. I just drove to Islamabad at speeds of 125-130 kph with 3 people in the car and I got 11.65 per liter.

Stop using 10w-30 oil and switch to synthetic 5w-30/5w-40 along with genuine oil filter. Also get your car's rims and tires properly balanced. Balancing plays a very important role in mileage. Sadly people here don't give a damn about it. You will notice improved mileage for sure.
Mine of easily does 15km/l on long with AC and 12-13 km/l in city driving without AC with normal + hard foot.
