Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

For God sake yar, i dont know whats the prob going on with your civics, please calculate the mileage by filling brim to brim method.

My old accord 96 with more then 2 lac on ODO and CNG Fitted ia giving 8 km/l now a days in very very bad city driving conditions ( my home to office and back, total distance is 6 km and total 20 speed breakers where i have to put it in 1 st gear every time...)...

Yesterday i checked on petrol on long (From panj sarki shell Rwp to Lawrancepur), it did 70 km in 5.2 liter. (Brim to brim filling). The Average came out 13.47 kmpl.

yeah i always fill brim to brim. Its most probably because i live in defence and my office is in defence too (Lhr) and at max i go to Gulberg occasionally so its always low speed driving with lots of stops.

well friends again i got an unbelievable mileage from my civic 2012 M/T. as almost every satureday & sunday i go to my village that is 150 KM one side and Same as back. which includes 105 KM on GT road and rest is of village road (one side) which is not so good but average and also includes some bumpy and rough track.
Filled Petrol from Total Next to rawat city (Toward Lahore). after a refill just to check the average on GT road i was amazed to see that it used only 4.2 Litres of petrol for 90KM GT Road run. so the average was 21.028 KM/L with minimum use of break and used to drive in 4th and 5th gear except tool plazas.

Oo sir....local average you are getting is just ok,but it should give more as it has very advanced engine, mine is also 1.8 but very old technology when these engines were known as FUEL GUZZLERS ...anyhow do chk mileage on long route as well with speed max upto 110kmpl.

Our other civic Exi 01, as i have tested a num of times, gives around 10.5-11.5 in local and around 15 on long, max i achieved was 17.2 kmpl.(Speed under 110km/h).

Anyhow get it checked from Honda...Allah karay aap ka problem solve ho jai.Ameen.

A completely plugged fuel filter will stop your engine cold by choking off the flow of fuel to the carburetor or injectors. The engine may not start, or it may start, then stall and die.
Some filters have a spring-loaded bypass, however, that allows fuel to by pass the filter element if it becomes clogged. Fuel continues to flow, but it may carry dirt to the carburetor or injectors, which can create additional problems.
A partially restricted filter will usually pass enough fuel to keep the engine running at idle or low speed, but may starve the engine for fuel at higher speeds or loads. So your engine may run fine putting around town, but sputter and lack power when you try to drive at highway speeds or pass someone. It is said, prevention is better than cure and so it is always better to keep your vehicle fit rather to take it for repair in case of breakdown.

Anyone knows what this is and from where can it be sourced out? Its some sort of fuse from a Honda Civic 2008. The car's ignition is not turning on at all and this part has been identified as the culprit. Need to find this little guy...

    Sir its a suggestion.
Check ur ride's fuel pump and fuel filter if the filter is dirty then wash it with petrol and clean it and hceck the pressure for ur fuel pump if the pressure is good enough then its good but it is low then change it. basically fuel pump throw petrol to the engine if it will through with limited presssure then petrol will all burn and do not come back to tank through extra pipe. it will cause more consumption of petrol and even with light foot it will not give u good milage.
    get it check
