Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

This particular problem exists in all models of 8th gen civic. Mine sometimes produces that sound but not every time. Scroll back some pages of this thread a solution of this problem is already discussed by a member. Take your car to 3s dealership and tell them to fix it.

    Thanx bro.
I have heard also about fuel guzzler. but believe me when i got it and drive it, found it fuel efficient car.
yesterday went to my village trip was total 450KMPH mixed fuel average was 13km/L. roaring between 3000- 5000 RPM on g.t. road. it still gives me an average of 15.89KM/L which is great. with light foot and using hyper milling i have achieved 21+ km/L on gt road. but still go above.
But its manual transmission not prosmatec.

Welcome sir...thats great bro...u really made me happy, in fact i m having 01 exi, throughout company maintained and yesterday i went to faisalabad from rawalpindi on mtrway and it gave milage of 18.58 km/l....i kept the speed at 100km/h....whereas on pw i never saw any 7 gen civic ever does even 15-16 km/l.....hence by the help of your experience it is proved that MANUAL REBORN is also very very fuel efficient.

THANX A LOT for ur wishes bro.
18+ KM/L its best for 7th gen bro. previously i had an exi 2005 and vti oriel 2004 prosmatec 7th gen. prosmatec maximum 13km/L and exi 15+ normal gt road run. bought 8th gen just because of poor fuel average of my prosmatec 7th gen. but nowreborn is amazing in fuel economy.

I got the chance to drive a 9th gen brand new civic the other day. It was very quiet and the engine smooth but the interior is definitely made with cheap looking plastic. My 8th gen is much better. So much so that I immediately decided that after a couple of years I will again upgrade to a 2012 civic

Anybody selling Civic 06-08 model??? In islamabad, Rawalpindi? Only Vti Orial Manual...and Company maintained...( I saw an add on PW regarding 08 oriel, company maintained, i went to see that, but dishonesty at the part of seller, the vehicle was not maintained by the company and repaint was absolutely pathetic, even it was clearly mentioned in the add that car is first owner n company maintained, but there was no owner in pakistan and there was no log book, no receipts, nothing else)

Plz contact if anybody really wana sell at reasonable price...

    Thanks and Regards.

Engine mount ... may be just may be

Honda replaced engine mounts for all 07-08 models last year free of cosr as it was factory's fault.

While you are on it , also check Catalytic comverter. It is not related to Khr khr sound but it needs to be checked in old honda vehicles. It is related to all car's performance

    Assalam u alaikum freinds.
Again i am posting my rides outclass milage of GT ROAD run. so this time the milage i got is 22.29KM/L. once again an amazing outcome.
But in the local run it goes down to 10 KM/L. so now its the time to go for an engine tuneup, throttle cleaning, replacement of air filter. by the way whats the price of air filter except genuine one

My car did 12.88 km/l locally in Isb-pindi driving with one trip to Margalla hills. I believe it can do 13km/l easily with normal foot.
