Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

    Hi guys,

i have an 8th gen civic.

if the mounts have issues. please do go to a 3s proper good running dealership.

my car had increased vibration i got the right engine mount changed for free as honda knew that this part had issues n they replaced it free of any charge.

so dont go buying a new mount ask the dealer first.

Also. just wanted to share the article on total engine and block failure for this car.

2006-2009 Honda Civic Coolant Leak | Engine Replacement - Consumer Reports News

this happend to a friend's 8th gen. it was 8000kms driven n honda replaced his whole car with a new one.

    So check with dealership first.

i would suggest you to get ur car maintained from them cuz they know their stuff n my car runs awesome with their oils n maintenance.

do a research on oil and oil filter. ull find that in the long run they do good work.

It also varies according to the traffic conditions. Mileage will be better in islamabad as compared to karachi.

Did you buy the car brand new ? if no, did the previous owner got the mount changed ? Usually civic is quite smooth on A/C. you dont feel any difference while ac is switched on. Might be tuning issue. When was the last time you got it tuned ? And what about the power steering oil leak ? Did you got the clamps tightened ? Did the leak stopped ?

There is a crude way to check that is to check for the gap between the rubber and the metal part of the mount..and yes one more thing..if honda people do agree to change the mount they will lie that its not genuine and replaced before so we wont change it..just tell them u had the car and it wasnt changed before or go their manager and threaten him..

    See the manual.
I means inspection meaning if it needs improvement that should be done.
    R means replacement
Meaning of symbols is written at the top.

I think Gear Lever has to be in P or N ( Park/Neutral ) for the key to be able to come out of the ignition. Otherwise either your barrel or key is worn out. Barrel is the ignition where your key goes.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.
