Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

I got the car used and it was 60k driven in immaculate condition.

Naah bro not yet due to time issues. Mechanics take a whole day for this job and car is dailu driven. Waiting for other car to arrive then will give It to my mechanic for seals change only

    1. Is it necessary to have hi-octane filled in prosmatic?
    2. If i ONLY get super/ regular filled in, would there be any issues?
    3. Does anybody have any idea how much coolant is required and the cost of honda geniune coolant?

    1. No.
    2. No there aren't any issues with that.
    3. Check Users Manual for Quantity. Around 3 to 4 litres. Honda Genuine Coolant price no idea. But I prefer Liquimoly Coolant which costs around 300rs/litre.

Vibration is mainly due to faulty engine mount

    1. can i put say Rs 2500 hi-octane and the remaining super/regular petrol??
    2. What effect would this have on the catalytic converter? Is it true that it would prevent catalytic converter from getting dirty?

This is one option another is to use liqyi moly fuel additive which increases octane level of fuel

If I put Rs 2500 hi-octane/ LM fuel additive and the remaining super/regular petrol, What about its effect on catcon? Would this be beneficial in preventing catcon from getting dirty?

From where can i get the original LM fuel Additive in Isb? Its cost?

LM from F10 before shell pump and costs 700k last till 2k Km

yes catcon remains clean as octance level will be around which is recommended by honda

our Hi octance octance level is not as per Honda recommendation for this engine

From what iv gathered around here, theres a way to check the mount fault. All u hav to do is take ur key and put it between that gap. If it fits in quite easily, ur all good to go. If NOT, ur mount needs replacing.
