Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

    700K brother?? surely u meant 700?

F-10 : any shop would be fine there? shahid autos, laser sound etc.

So you would recommend using LM fuel additive frequently in regualar/ super petrol instead of having hi-octane and mixing with regular/super?

    Default Query

Brother, I'm facing the same little-vibration-on-idle-when-AC-is-switched-on-issue, what seems to be the culprit? The car has a manual tranny.

Also, will you be kind enough to enlighten me how much a "tuning" should set me back? I was also told to replace the Power Steering fluid the last time I got my car checked (there were no leaks), how much does that cost from Honda 3S?

I bought the car used like 8 months back but it has only been driven 3k since then (it had around 60k on the odo then). I'm not sure what kind of a maintenance-schedule this car was on under the previous owner, so what should I be getting checked? I was told of a "general check up" the last time around, any idea of what that includes?

Oh I'm really sorry I missed your post somehow.
I got my car's engine mount checked from Honda centre yesterday. 105k driven and engine mount is still perfect Alhamdulillah . So vibration on AC is normal in M/T civics I guess.

Bro there is no need to replace your steering fluid before 80k kms. Tuning will cost you around 2-3k. If car is running fine and you are not facing mileage/pick issues, I will suggest to get it tuned on 80k maintenance. Get it tappets adjusted and throttle body cleaned for your own satisfaction. I did the same on 60k when I had bought the car. Fortunately my car was in good hands previously and came with service history so I was not that much worried.
General checkup includes whole car checkup and they charge 1100-1200 for that. They tell you what needs to be replaced and what not. That's all.

@Sk_KingpiN, For the General checkup Do the mechanics at honda classic just check the car physically or does this involve using diagnostic equipment??

Does this checkup highlight each problem?

I actually wana get my ride fully checked up so what would u suggest?? Someone said sumfin abt a computer checkup or sumfin dat tells each problem.

Yes they check whole car in General checkup including diagnostic equipment check. I'd say go for it for your own peace of mind.

    Thanks bro.
Civic in white color looks elegant and beautiful. Your civic's color is also nice and I searched for a good habanero red civic but couldn't find one in immaculate condition and in the end settled down for this one.
