Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

Bro i think Honda's are a bit sensitive with jugaar from local kharadia ustaads. If at all its the steering bush (which i doubt would be) in that case the entire bush should be replaced from market (not 3S) the saving on jugaar will be temporary and asking for frequent workshop visit and expense every few months, with at the end either ruin your mood and car or resulting in making the same extra expense of replacement that should have been done in the first place. It should not be a desi make. Replacement with a purchased company made part (3S rates are double compared to general market for a same part) is the answer.

Well if it was a Mehran: kharadia was a perfect solution. Honda's are slightly technical and sensitive. Specially on Civic's the saving is not worth the displeasure of keeping a car which will keep annoying due to the desi totka it went through.

Bro. My point for kharadia was the bush will not be factory fitted it need to be alter. Even at honda their own kharadia will make it. - you took me other way around.

Anyone here owns a manual reborn?
If so can you tell me whats the fuel average of it?

Im planning to get reborn once again - i had auto and it used to give 9kms hardly in city.

I have corolla altis now and it gives 11kms in city easily and its manual transmission.

    07 Model
    35k driven.
Gave me around 8-10km/l depending on driving style within city.
Can't comment about the highway mileage because never took it to the highway.

Manual civic does 10-12.5 km/l with AC depending upon driving style.

On long it does 15-16km/l with AC and light foot. With normal + hard foot it does 14-14.8km/l.

With an extremely light foot, I managed to get 11.8 kmpl with in city. The variant under discussion is 2009 PT.

But the 9th gen (though i love it) is not as efficient in steering response feel, stability and grip as the 8th gen (still love it slightly more). The driving pleasure makes up for the slightly less efficient fuel consumption. 8th gen is the true loveable Civic a real step ahead after the Dolphin (95).
The 9th is a modification of 8th which was purely re-born

Driver side seat can be adjusted. There's a lever on the right side of the seat. Pull it up snd your seat will come up.
Secondly for opening bonnet, pull the bonnet opener lever located in the pillar next to accelerator pedal towards yourself. You need to apply a little force to open it.
No idea about stereo system. Which one is it? Can you post a pic of it?
