Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

My 9th gen's original factory painted fender has a frozen paint drip at the edge, also a few inches of my driving side door's edge from the bottom has exposed silver metal with "faded/almost no" paint. But trust me its still an awesome lot better than Corolla's dull and faded colors on certain parts specially hoods which have dull lacquer+hardner and visible thin coated paint flakes.
The slight waves are actually a property of Honda as every car company has its specific density and net type woven paint which the weaving in Honda is thicker. Its use of a different spray intensity.

lolz then good news .finally can sleep at night .ive spoke to the owner of Honda Faisalabad motors he said this is very common in Honda there usually something wrong with there paint gun .he also said there complains about this stuff and he has spoken to the people in the atlas motors .I mean after spending 2.3 million on a car you get this kind of **** .And these owners complain why people are opting for JDM cars .

But pain in the a$$ thing is that when we will sell these cars local painters by whom the buyers might get the car checked will say that the car is been repainted ,which happened to me when i bought my 8th gen civic and went to get it compound the painter said that the entire car is painted where as i am 100 percent sure its not after seeing my 2015 civic paint job .

The right way to tell if a Honda is painted or not is air or dirt bubbles in hardner/lacquer surface. Paint drip, thick waves or blob may be there as in my factory painted Civic like i told earlier. But the top coat of a factory painted car does not have air bubbles or trapped dirt inside which usually happens at a workshop re-paint. Even some workshop re-paints can't be told by local painters. I was once lucky of getting a new hood and painted by Honda Fort. But a lucky chance it was so perfect that when i sold my car not even a single car dealer or painter could figure out that its a repainted bonnet.

The wavyness you see is actually called "orange peel". So called because of the paint finish resembling the texture of an orange peel, wavy with graininess. This can be rectified with wetsanding and compounding but not recommended on a new car.
To orange peel can be masked though with some regular waxing. As the reflections from the car might to some extent reduce orange peel being seen.

My 04 City had a much better paint job than my 13 city. The 13 city had a very bad paint job. It had a lot of orange peel, but i have been able to minimize it by nourishing the paint with waxes giving the paint deeper reflections.

On roads i have seen the paint job, newer cities are getting and it is absolutely horrible, the paint on civics are comparatively better though.
