Default 8th generation Civic fan and owner club

the 2006 generation Honda split the model into two different platforms, one primarily for the home market and North America and the other designed for the European market using a simpler rear suspension from the Honda Fit and more aggressive styling. As of 2006, a total of 16.5 million Civics had been sold worldwide, with 7.3 million of them in the United States.[5] Although the North American and the home market model differ externally, they are mechanically identical. The European model is available as a three and five-door hatchback while the Japanese/North American model is available as either sedan or coupe. Both Si and Type-R trim levels continue although the Japanese and European Type-R while sharing the same size engine are mechanically different. In the US an improved version of the Si tuned by Honda tuner Mugen is offered featuring cosmetic alterations and changes to the suspension and exhaust system. The Acura version of the Civic not only received the design change, but also saw a new nameplate, changing from the Acura EL to the Acura CSX. In Japan starting March 2006, the Honda dealership sales channels called Honda Primo, Verno, and Clio were disbanded, and combined into one retail dealership called Honda Cars.

if you are choosing to use caltex coolant - make sure the original honda blue coolant is fully removed before you add the caltex one.

    EDIT:
10th gen looks very interesting will think about it once it lands in our homeland until then 8th gen it is
9th Gen is an international flop with very negative reviews, I was against it when many 9th gen fans were here but they too have gone down after realizing how horrible it is, 9th gen has an ugly ground clearance, Looks too fat and high, The rear end of the car is joke particularly tail lights and bumper portion, Car looks out of sorts in design and charisma, Interior is personal preference but i found 9th gen's interior more like a city but wider, Road grip is not good, does not feel sound or solid, 15 Inch Alloys dont go well on that big body either, Overall a horribly made car that lacked charisma in it for the base fans of the car.

    Hello All

I own 2011 Civic Oriel Prosmatec.
For a month it jerks around 30s... doesn't matter if driving smooth & steady or trying to pick-up.

I got plugs changed but the problem still persists.

May I know what could be the problem & if anyone can suggest a solution?

    Many thanks

Can it b checked by comp? If not then getting fuel filter checked is a lengthy process I guess... so better I opt for throttle body service.
    No?

    No?
No it can't be checked by comp. usually a fuel filter lasts 40,000 kms at optimum but due to the fuel quality we have here it may give up earlier. Or just one tank of dirty fuel may clog it. Usually the symptoms of a bad fuel filter are missing at lower-mid range rpm. If at all it has gone bad the replacement will cost you around 9-10 thousand rupees

Fuel Filter could be a concern. And is this missing problem specifically present with Ac on?

Iridium plugs don't need replacement for 1-lakh kms as recommended but earliest to be safe can be done at 80 thousand. Was not required and hope you went for replacement with Oem. Oem plugs are a must. Still if it's your fuel filter at fault you need to get tuning done again after replacing it. Also there is a slight jerk (not missing) if the prosmatec transmission plates start skipping. But that usually does not happen easily, unless AT fluid is not changed at every 40 thousand or transmission is abused.
I assume you are experiencing engine missing and not the jerk

Please go ahead with Fuel filter and ATF replacement.
I suggest Honda genuine products and Honda 3S dealership.

    Thanks.
