kalma chowk honda is the most pathetic workshop ever, they dont know zilch about what to do and how to do it, a friend of mine got his bumper painted in 20 days from there, and still they couldnt get the paint right, it had dust particles at a lot of places.
I just got the same car but in black, (yes I know I should consider buying a washing station now) however once its washed/waxed etc, it does beat all colors, i have owned almost all except that red wine one..mine is just 220 kms driven so the consumption is not so great, I'm hoping it would improve..I will be sticking with the honda oil as I have done so for the past 7 years, all the cars had very sound engines. the navgation is hardly used as i already know my way around but it comes in handy when my parents drive it as the like the rear view camera thing..I would very strongly recommend you change the stock tires as they are just useless, i switched to michellin's energy saver series and the ride has become immensely smooth..no noise at all! has any of guys had any experiences with the electric rear sun shade? i might just get the regular ones as the mistris just ruin the whole car once they start playing with..enjoy your ride and keep belted!
@rizwan400...many congrats on your new ride..however the current civic is due for a change and a redesigned civic is expected to be out for sale in April, 2011 in US market...while in Pakistan Honda Atlas has indicated Sept, 2011 for launching the redesigned version. Production of current civic will cease in August.
I myself had to buy civic in Jan this year but have decided to wait because of this development.
no cruise control?
no steering wheel stereo control?
how can u love me baby, first you gotta love yourself
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Has there been an improvement in your Civic's fuel consumption after the 5k km tune-up?
Mine also got improved.... @ 2500 km i change my Civic oil .... Caltex Havoline synthetic oil. and @ 2800 km i feel that its really 1 km added in city drive. Diddnt check on highway but i am sure its got improved.
I ll post result after my next tank filled.
I have 2 Prosmatecs, one has done 8000km (feb 2010) and the other 20,000km (june 2010) and both give the same economy i.e. 8-9km/ltr (usually 8.5 to be exact). Mobil 1 fully synthetic is being used in both with oil change interval being 5000km and RPM is kept 100% below 3 and 80% below 2.5 so in short, are driven very very carefully. I don't know how you guys are getting improved fuel economy, if you are getting any in the first place.
@mugenpower He has mentioned mileage in city and hes true.ON highway one can easily get 12 but when users say 15 its unrealestic. As I never got more then 13 on motorway on my Civic hardtop. In city i sometimes gets 9.5 sometimes as less as 8.
That's good news for Civic owners. 1km/lit improvement in fuel consumption is pretty neat, to say the least. Now if only we Pakistanis can get access to better roads and infrastructure, our cars and wallets would be so much more happier.
My father told me the other day that there was a time in Pakistan when Mobil, and other branded lubricants, were copied and counterfeited so much that their names became synonymous with screwed-up engines. I mean what's a gallon of engine oil when compared to the price-tag of a new car?
Fahad your civic is manual so itwill definitly give better mileage compared to prosmate.
Airomerix no my civics arn't used on highways. Only driven in city
cardinal i am using same mobil 1 in my cruisetronic. Gives 10km/ltr in city and i just drove it from lahore to ryk and it gave 15km/ltr. The one i am using isnt fake because my altis has done 40,000km in 1 year only and it drives better than new altis my friend has (he uses genuine toyota oil). Infact i drive and keep my feb 2010 civic with so much care that i can bet there wontbe a better condition black civic in lahore
Hey. I was wondering where to get rear lights for the reborn? I have got the 2011 model and I have seen reborns on the road here in Lahore with modified rear lights and they look quite good. Help would be appreciated!
