IMO the max it will cost between 4500-5000. a used would cost anything from 3-8k provided you find the oriel 1. ill beback INSHAALLAH on 6 Aug n wod be able to courier them on the fol monday.

On a lighter note; we are "non Prosmatic" owners; we are used to reach out our left hand; be it gear stick or HU (Agar Angoor Khattey Howey tu koi bara masla nahi hey )
I am quoted 9530/- for Oriel Steering Reel and 6730/- for VTi Steering Reel by Atla$' local dealer!
Buddy don't be so "fixed". You gotta loosen up a little and show some flexibility. Even if you get it for the rate that Zunny suggests my vote is to go for it. Trust me, with the steering controls handy one begins to start hating a remote control.

Ofcourse I am not rigid about 15k limit; but its definitely not 20k

There is one more factor; I dont have Oriel CD Changer; and after your feedback will surely not go for Rockmars. Honda OEM Navigation with its whooping 80k price tag is definitely not a consideration....I and brother @rizwan400 (primarily he; being electronics engg ) will try to run the Steering Audio Controls with stock Kenwood (and he with Sony's Audio System in his Altis). I also need the green light from his side before spending any further

Your steering controls will work with stock Kenwood. Secondly, if you are a fan of Honda OEM Sat Nav then wait for another 3 weeks and Insha Allah you will get one under 30k. Its going to be the same thing insha Allah.

Wow; thats some news! Sure will go for it!

I dont have complete details and technical know how; what I am told is that Oriel CD Changer / Rockmars / OEM Sat Nav works with 10k Resistance; for Kenwood / Sony etc different Resistance is required; what resistance is yet to know. Brother Rizwan (@rizwan400) will try to find out during this week and on weekend will try on his Sony / Altis. I will keep you guys posted. But if I get my hands on OEM Sat Nav ; I guess I might just need clockspring only and wait till brother Zunnurain (@zunny) arrives back!

Congrats. My suggestion is to complete the look of the car or whatever you have to do with it from the outside first. If step by step, the:

    1. Black painting of the lower portion of the rear bumper extension/kit.
    2. Dark OEM Smoked out headlights (Facelift Version) with Narvas and LEDs
    3. OEM Octagonal Tail Lights.
    4. LED lights to replace the yellowish license plate illumination bulbs.
    5. Alloys Rims. Do not go for black or dark coloured.
    6. Spoiler
    7. If interested and budget allows, the FD2 bumper with front grille.

I agree. The engineers and designers were probably half asleep while designing the rear. Although I love the front but overall the car is an evolution from the "Reborn". The 9th Generation compared to the 8th Generation which when introduced to the world was certainly a revolutionary new design against the Eagle Eye 2005 model. The cockpit layout and basic architecture of the 8th and 9th Generations almost look the same. Under the hood it might be a different story.

I dont think any 8th Civic like revolutionary car will come soon; 8th Civic has a special Acura background!

They have done the same treatment in back with all new cars; from City to Accord...I read somewhere its something to do with the improving aerodynamics of the car to make it more fuel efficient.

The engine is same R18 but they have done something for the new ECO-Button / ECO-MODE. It would be great to see if Civic is launched here with this new feature! The following is what some actual user of it posted on internet!
"It cuts down on engine power, changes transmission settings (Auto only I'm sure), and climate control.

I haven't noticed a real difference in the climate control part of it, it still makes the cabin ice cold on the lowest temp setting, and the fan still operates to full capacity. It also still functions in MAX A/C, so I'm not sure what it changes as far as climate control is concerned."

Well, I think that pretty much sums it up. The engine is the same in case of R18, the Eco function and iMID are the major updates IMHO. Let me do a short comparison of both shortly (on papers) of course.
