    05 civic has HPS(hydrolic power steering) which some times feels hard but i am not sure about city about EPS(Electronic Power Steering).
    But if we compare EPS with HPS then EPS is much lighter then HPS.

    Ur friend is right. City's steering is more smoother because of being EPS while civic steering is bit harder due to being HPS. Beside this fact, there's another fact that this model civic has relatively harder steering then the rest

    All City/Fit/Jazz from 2001 onwards has EPS.

    Civic has still kept HPS.

    Wrong. ZIC gives better performance than the honda so called geniune PSF which is available in the market with the name of caltex anytime anyday in quite reasonable price rather than insanely high price

    @Khan6653,
    After changing oil it will be alot lighter and if you still find it hard then go to bilal gunj and ask about changing HPS to EPS as THAI version EPS steering racks are available and in exchange it will cost you around 10k with labour.

    NEVER NEVER EVER mess with a 7G Civic Steering or rack.

    Just keep the Fluid checked and do not push the steering at full locks, all the time.

    It is one of the best steerings in world.

    05 Civic's steering is a bit harder than that of City's. But it is good in a sense that you feel more confident while driving and can feel the control over car. I think EPS steering is suppose to get harder while you increase your speed, but I didn't feel it happening in a City. I may be wrong though.

    8gen steering is harder than 7gen.

    just change the oil, i would recommend you to use genuine oil.

    HPS is surely harder but give feel of a driving on the road in comparison to EPS.

    However EPS has an advantage of no extra load on the engine which is in general good for our CNG cars.
