Default CIVIC 2011 scratches and swirls

    AoA everyone..
I recently bought civic(black color) and I have got a problem..don't know what actually happened but some beige color paint drops fell on the whole body and my whole car got spotted with it...I got the car compounded from HONDA coz the paint marks were not going off wid simple wet cloth but now bad swirls and some deep scratches have appeared where the spots where.

please tell me what should I do...its not even been one month since I bought the car and I am stuck n a problem.

There is nothing you can do. You can use imported products which are for removing swirls but they are all cutting products. Some people may say they cut a very fine layer of clear coat, but at the end of the they do cut. Since you already have compounded a new car, I would NEVER recommend you to use any cutting product on it for atleast next 2 years.

Civic already has a very soft paint so all you can do is try Mothers Cleaner Carnauba wax and then get it waxed with either Mothers synwax or Meguiars NXT 2.0 every 2 weeks. Won't remove the swirls etc but would cover them up with regular use.

Feel sorry for your bro. Give sadqa for your car.

One of the reasons I never buy black cars is because of the deep swirls that appear on the car's paint.

yeah I know dat compounding a new car isn't gud but there wasn't any other option. but dats really sad to c a new car like dis..
I hav seen various videos on youtube dat remove really bad swirls and scratches..but cant find those products available in Pakistan...
Honda workshop guys say dat they will apply rubbing polish onto it and these scratches and swirls will disappear..
I actually dont know what they have done to the car coz sum guys at honda said dat they hav applied compound polish and some say dat they have done wid rubbing polish...
I will try to upload the pics aswell..

Clay bar won't help with swirls plus you risk RUINING your paint. In karachi go to Optimum Motorsports in Zamzama where you can get Meguiar products from.

Dont have any regrets on compounding the car. It had to be done. What you need to do is paint care and not cut clear coat. With good waxes (as I mentioned before), the look of your car will improve even over brand new car. Trust me when I say this, swirls are inevitable on 8th gen civic (any color) as it has soft paint. You can remove them and products are available in karachi, but swirls will come back in a week GUARANTEED. So dont worry about swirls and instead focus on paint care

    oh that hurts ,,,,
also there is a option for such a case. it wont be a help to u but for others help..... get some good quality thinner and damp a small cloth wt it and rub the stain a bit with it and the newly added spot will come off,,, when it does wash the place with plain water to remove any thinner left,,, FYI thinner evaporates very fast and car paint/clear coat is not effected by it in a few min due to the hardener used in these paints so it is perfectly safe,,,, my car got some such stains while my neighbor's gate was being painted,,,, saved it the same way,,,

the mothers cleaner wax or for that matter any cleaner wax would have a cutting compound in it as well .. a very light one but it would have it too .. that is why it gives a better finish than a pure wax....

    @kowais
ive been using cutting compounds on my car for the past 7 years almost and there has been NO absolutely NO clear coat failure or any such issue.. yes one has to use the right products and with the right way ... if you have deep swirls they can been removed easily with a very mild agent.. something like Meguiars swirl X (which is a mild compound) or even with colorX(which is a cleaner wax) .. the new ultimate polish is a GREAT product as well ... its about to come to Pakiland as well .. maybe in the next 2 weeks...
Something even better for your car is the Meguiars DA microfiber polishing system... that does wonders ..

Post a few pictures and we can help you out better.
