Default Convertible roof - Honda Civic 1995

    Salaams

I want to turn my Honda Civic 1995's hard-top roof to a convertible, canvas-top roof. Can anyone do it in Pakistan?

    Thank you.

nope. it's a four-door usual run-of-the-mill sedan. does it matter? if it does, i am ready to buy a coupe for this purpose. i just want the job to be good - you know, the pillars have to neatly cut off and the frames of the windows too. the same goes for the roof to be fitting in snugly. i don't mind a manually-operated roof. thank you for your help.

First of all, there are only 2 Honda Civic 1995 coupes' in Pakistan. Secondly, i wont recommend you to do this because this's not the job of every tom, harry or dick. Only some specialized mechanic can do this and i presume there is no such guy in Pakistan who can do this. Lastly, your car will look a lot weird being a convertible. Why dont you go for a Diahatsu Copen or a Honda Beat if you want a convertible?

Converting it to a dual sunroof, or a panoramic sunroof would be simpler IMHO. Considered that option?

Ive seen this Hyundai - its a wannabee SAAB. its even got a SAAB grille on it. chopping the roof is the least of your worries its the floor reinforcement that you need to focus on - or your car will flex like an open shoebox and eventually collapse within itself.

thank you gentlemen. i guess i should give it up as a bad idea and merely settle for a daihatsu copen or something like that. grateful for your input, everyone - saved me a lot of bother.
