    Thumbs up ATTENTION: Civic and City owners!

    Today i took my car for 20,000km check up to Honda Fort and found:

    ATTENTION Civic and City owners! -251481

    Yes, Cabin Air filter for Civic and City is available at Honda Fort for Rs 1,000/-

    According to staff there, its only available at that Honda Fort since they are sourcing it from some private vender. Brought it for my ride on the spot. Do check it out.

    *The life of this filter is 10,000 km.

    very nice... but im afraid this will greatly reduce the throwing power of the fan leading to slower cooling in the cabin.

    y dont u share ur experience? pros and cons?

    @Aeromerix

    Cooling will not have any effect becuase of this filter, the science involved is different. The biggest advantage of having a cabin air filter in the system is that whenever the mode is on EXTERNAL air then u wont have the environmental harmful elements in ur cabin. The next advantage which i didnt know but was explained by a staff at the HONDA NORTH is that, the dust on foot mats gets picked up during circulation and chocks the system over a period of time, so lets say if u dont have a cabin air filter ur lookin at an AC servicing within 2 years from zero meter whereas with a cabin air filter its like u wont need a servicing in the first 4 years provided u keep this filter clean as well every few months.

    Exactly.

    If a person even steps on the matt rashly then some of the dust is sucked in the intake and then it goes into the cooling system.
    Afterall there is a reason why these things come standard in "normal" cars.

    Thanks for sharing man...

    Best way of keeping your cabin filter clean is by cleaning your mats on a regular basis(daily).

    And its better to buy plastic or rubber mats with less grooves as they would be much easier to clean than carpeted mats.
