Default Head Gasket Civic vti d16

    hi guys,
stuck in a confusion need help, i have this civic for last 8 months now. basically there is no problem, i just wanted to replace the coolant before doing it i accidentally checked the rediator by opening the cap, there were bubbles... i got confused as i heard it is because of head gasket leakage. i immediately visited my cng mechanic, he observed the radiator and advised me to get the gasket fix as it is gone now and do it as soon as possible, and recommanded me another nearby mechanic,
now this mechanic told me another story, he said civic hai bhai lohe ki gasket hoti hai is main, then he checked the bubbles and said kuch nai howa sai hai bilkul khulwadi tu jan ko ajae gi.
not satisfied to his advise i visited another mechanic. he observed the radiator, asked me k pani kum karti hai i said no, waisie i usually check the reserviour bottle and it stays full nearly all the time, phr he asked kanta uper gaya kabhi, again no never, middle se kabhi uper nai gaya fan chalta hai middle pe aur phr thori deer main bund hojata hai, kabhi over heat nai hoi, halanke ac on rahta hai harwaqt.

so he said head gasket is all right no need to change it.

now guys tell me wat to do. temp kabhi half se uper nai gaya na hi reserviour bottle main pani kum hota hai, wat else to check???

I appreciate a good body regardless of the make

Don't fix something which isn't broken in the first place. Your car is fine, if it doesn't heat up with AC in the current heat in Pakistan, you should just be a very happy man.

I dont think there is anything wrong with gaskit... a faulty gaskit would heat up the car regardless of whether you switch on your car's ac or not...

Bhai gaskit theekh hai kiun panga leina per tula hoo?

Yeh bubles waghaira tub check karo when ur car is reducing a lot of water or heating up if everything is running fine why you wanna give your genuine engine to a desi mechanic who will face the head and all kind of issues start coming.

When you start the car (slightly warm engine) and accelerate, water starts to circulate causing a few bubbles to form. Nothing wrong with your gaskit.
A burnt gaskit gives reverse pressure and in such case when you accelerate the water jumps out of radiator neck, in most cases oil also mixes up with water and forming a mud like sludge

Most common checks of head gaskit are engine heat up and water reduction

if the car does nt get heat up then Gas kit is fine, raditor ke bubbles kabhi kabhi is ki safai honay wali ho to bhi atay hain, apnay raditor ki safai karwa lo bas.

Water roz check kia karo, i was having civic 03, ek din us main pani kam the, i was on long drive from FSD to LHR us ki guage ne koi extra heat show nahi karai, but rastay main hi gari ka kaam ho gaya. wapis bari mushkil aya or atay hi engine khul gaya.

The resion i found is civic 03 main heat guage ooper ki side pe hy, pani kam ho to exact result show nahi karti. may be i am wrong. but it was my experience.

change coolant - and forget about the gasket, the metal sandwich gasket holds up quite well as both head and block are made of aluminium - no corossion or expansion issues.

completely drain the system including engine block and heater coil from the heater valve, and fill with new coolant/water mix till the engine cooling fans kick on - remove any air bubbles by pressing the coolant pipes, once done have a cold drink or anything and pat yourself for doing a good job.

If the system is heavily rusted I would suggest you do a light descaling of the system, if you are brave enough to tackle it, because it may take out any weak metal in the system and become a leak.
