Arrow (Samialvi) - My Honda Civic 2011 VTi Oriel Prosmatec with Navigation.

    Salaam PakWheelers,

Hope your all doing well.... after selling my beloved 2000 Civic (6th Gen), I have now upgraded to an 8th Generation Civic.

It's a Honda Civic 2011 VTi Oriel Prosmatec with OEM Navigation (8th Generation).

This car was produced on the 26th May and delivered to me on the 28th May.

Although I've already posted this car in the 8th Gen Photoshoot thread, but then I thought that this car deserves a separate thread so here it is

Please say MashAllah and do rate the thread.

    Regards,
    Sami Alvi

Sir, ye part Factory se white painted ata hai.. Saari Civic's jo 2010 Mid ke baad se manufacture hui hain sab ke front bumper grill painted ati hai.

I strongly Dislike this white bumper grill, I don't understand why they painted it... anyway hopefully I would get it painted black sometime!

As for the tyres, I would suggest you to get 205/60/R15 on front and back aswell. Reason is that 205/60 won't give you any speedometer reading errors.

215/65 is definitely a bigger tyre but it won't touch the fender unless mass more than 200kg+ is placed at the back.

And as for the ride becoming bumpy, I would suggest you only one thing that Stay AWAY from any BRIGESTONES! It's a really hard tyre and ruin's the comfort of your ride(specifically Civic).

Go for Yokohama dB decibel AVS series, it's one of the most noiseless tyre and soft aswell..

    Hope this helps!
Now that's a comprehensive reply to my query. Thanks!

But bro don't you think that getting 60 profile tires would further widen the gap between the fenders and the tires? To be honest with you i really do not like huge gaps b/w the tires and fenders. Now, the car would be in my dad's use so the load issue isn't going to be there as hardly any passengers sit at the back seat. I went to a tire shop the day before yesturday and asked about the price of 205/65R15 yokohama dbs and db AVS, the shop keeper quoted me Rs. 10500 a piece of both the sets and when i told him that i'll be giving away the eurostars, he said we'll take those from you in Rs.4350 per tire. Are these prices okay?

One more thing bro, do you feel a difference is quality of the materials which is being used now in new models and of those that were produced earlier?

    regards,
    309.

Thanks buddy... how do you rate these tyres?
been using it for about 5months good grip on dry and excellent on wet, steady while turning... good for both city drive and long drive.road noise is acceptable
its a hard tyre but has good grip and steering response, i would recommend it.

Actually the thing is that we all have got a wrong concept about the tire profile. That is we consider the 195/65/15 as the side wall's height whereas it's NOT!
The profile no.(aspect ratio) is actually the percentage of the tires width section.
    For e.g 195/65/15
Here 65 means that it's side wall's height is 65% of its width(195mm).

There isn't gonna be any noticable difference in the gap between the tires and the fenders.

So, 195/65/R15 and 205/60/R15 are almost simililar in size. The only difference is in the width of the tyres!

If you really want to go with Yoko dB's then AVS V550 205/50/R15 is the ultimate tire which I would be going for aswell soon.

That price seems fine to me, as I gave my 500km driven Eurostar's for 4K per piece.. but do try to get him to take them for 4.5K each!

As for the quality of materials, Yes there's a difference in a 2011 and 2007 car but the only thing that seemed to be deteriorated was the body paint!

I got these tires on the recommendation of accord7362

No doubt, the grip on dry and wet is superb and it's got one hell of a steering response(meaning doesn't understeer). The only drawback I feel is that its a hard tire and has audible road noise.

    Thanks for the review
