    Default Civic 2002 -2006 prosmetec and MAP1 advancer.

    I have installed map1 advancer in my 2002 prosmetec and car is performing fine but CNG mechanic says map1 advancer can ruin my transmission. How much is that true?

    Also they advised me to go for some new landiranzo advancer which works with crank shaft sensor.Have anyone here had experienced this new stuff

    I also have MAP in my civic. i dont know whether its 1,2 or 3 but anyways i have Lamda flow control as well. and my transmission has failed once. but it was due to frequent gear changes in one of the trips i made to the hills due to which the oil temp rose and burned the seven paper thin clutches in the tranny. and i also made the mistake of putting the car in R when the engine stopped and car was moving ahead.

    the way ur mechanic is anticipating thngs may be right. maybe u r not using the right brand / product that goes with ur car. what do u think about the gear changes? are the gears changing nearly as good as on petrol. in that case its okay. it cant be 100 percent as good as on petrol.

    The transmission seems perfectly fine now but mechanics did not recommend to drive car on MAP1 advancer for too long or else it could cause transmission failure. I have just driven 500 kms on MAP1 advancer.

    previously it was honda MAPII advancer which had connection with only MAP sensor but few months my cars acceleration started going down and one mechanic installed MAP1 advance which had connection with TPS sensor as well as MAP sensor.

    The other mechanic say if you connect your advancer with TPS sensor then on CNG the Throttle position sensing is taken by advancer thus shifting is decided by advancer result in causing transmission failure.

    Please help and guide me on this whether its true or just a myth.

    i have map2 too i am almost sure. if u can post details of ur setup maybe some1 can help u. their TPS logic seems true....

    Its a normal Landiranzo kit with Landiranzo MAP1 advancer and neotec immulator.
    Previously it was Neotec MAPII advancer in which car was delaying acceleration. There was no problem with advancer but just that car was not running the way it should accelerate.

    when the advancer does not work properly
    u will note loss in acceleration and delay in gear change or sluggish change
    if the acceleration is fine and gear change is fine, advancer is working fine and not putting burden on gear
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....
