Default Does CNG work alright on Civic 2004-2006 VTI Prosmatec?

    Hello all,

I currently have a honda city vario 2005, but do not have CNG installed in it as it's not advisable.
But I heard it does work with these Civic Models.

Does it? Because my city's on petrol and that's getting really expensive as the petrol's on hike. I saw that in 3 months I had to put in petrol of Rs 25K as I have a lot of running.

I even like these Civic models and would also like to know about the EXI Model.

I will only drive Prosmatec as that suits me. So is it advisable in Civic for auto transmission to work, and which version you have(Landirenzo)?
    Which works best thanks

Been using CNG for a few years now on vti AT, no problem whatsoever, landi should just fine, it also get very economical for 1.6l car. I usually get 3.50 to 3.80 rupee/km.

I'd suggest you to go for VTI because of better engine and more importantly much better breaking (ABS) as compare to EXI. The best would be to go for oriel if you are into sunroof. Don't know about Karachi but here going to Murree or other such places it is a good option to have specially if you have kids (need to be bit careful too).

    Ahan thanks for the info,
anyone else can share their experiences.
Personally I myself would go with VTI Prosmatec, with or without Oriel.

if u hear of cng haters they will always say like that this car ,that car is not suitable for cng bla bla....

infact all cars r suitable on cng if properly installed, tuned

A BIG NO. My civic vti pt used to be on CNG, gave me HELL of a tough time it's entire CNG life! You will face SEVERE pickup issues no matter what and you won't get more than 70kms on a full tank. My car was only driven in DHA and still such lousy mileage. Had to take off that stupid thing and now it's on petrol. It's a fuel drinker alright, hardly 8km/l.
