Default Honda Civic 7th Gen. Fan Club

I tried searching Pakwheels.Com for a 'Honda Civic 7th Gen. Fan Club' thread but my search returned no results therefore i thought of making a new thread regarding this. Here is some information taken off Wikipedia regarding the Honda Civic 7th Generation:

The seventh generation of the Honda Civic was released in September 2000 as 2001 model. Compared to its predecessor, it retained similar exterior dimensions, but increased significantly in interior space thus bumping up Civic to a compact car size segment. There was a flat rear floor, giving better comfort to the rear seat passengers. This generation abandoned the front double wishbone suspension, which had been used in the fourth to sixth generations, replacing it with MacPherson strut.
A 115 hp (86 kW) engine powered all Civics (except EX and Si), up 9 hp (7 kW) from the previous model. Power in the EX remained at 127 hp (95 kW), and all non-Si engines were stroked to 1.7 liters.

In 2003, the Civic was given new tail lights which created a circle when illuminated. For 2004, the Civic was given a facelifted front end with new headlights, bumper, and grille; it also received side skirts. In 2005 the U.S Honda introduced the Special Edition. It was available in LX or EX Special Edition.

The hybrid version arrived at North America in spring 2002.[1] It used both a small 1.3 L I4 main gasoline engine and auxiliary electric motors, producing a combined 93 hp. The electric motors are powered by a battery array which is charged by regenerative braking during deceleration, thus reducing exhaust emissions and extending fuel mileage to 46 mpg city / 51 mpg highway with the manual transmission according to EPA fuel mileage estimates.[2]

Also. make an 'OBDII and Emissions Test'. vehicle must fail this test if some sensor or mechanism is faulty. you can visit from mechanic/electricition with honda diagnose kit (computer) and make it possible.

Hmm so it means the car should have more potential, the best bet for a better air filter is K&N lifetime one which means another khercha. The people I have checked with are pretty much happy with them, their filtration and amount of air they allow both would be much superior to the local made filters.

I got half a tank of hi-octane this time along with normal fuel, the response is a bit better ..... lets see what good it does for the average thingy.

    I have an Exi 02.
Don't remember weekdays written on the pillar but I'm using 195/65 R15 and the error of the speedo with GPS is negligible. So no worries, you can keep the size same for your new tires.

Believe me, if your engine is healthy enough that it can handle 10W oil and don't throw it in smoke (dont reduce oil). Then it is best choice. Full synthetic oil. When i put it in, i felt a sudden change in performance, i was going from M1 on CNG at 145, and the car literally asked me to push more. (although that performance reduced in days because it was my first oil change to lique moli; im expecting much more performance and cleaning on next oil change).
The seller promises 10,000/- KM and says dont come before that milage. Im planning to change it at 8,000/- this time and 10K next time.

Thanks for reply. I am not having speedo error with GPS, it is almost accurate. Im worried about milage and transmission. i believe wheel size is kept in mind while they were setting gear ratio on auto transmision for specific model, which i think effects milage when we change wheel size.

Car did almost 320 kms in 31 litres of petrol. The driving was from pindi to murree and back with AC on through out. Stuck on highway for almost 30 mins again with AC on. Some fun revving here and thre plus in morning start of atleast 10 mins heat up time and yeah AC on while going for shopping 5 to 10 mins type with AC on. 10 km is still good as for the routine it faced. Lets see wat it gives in straight drive

Bhai will do something for EPS but right now car is going smooth on 2000 civics power pump since 2013. 195 was installed because 2 wheel disc p hi-speed nhn rukti even i had 205 installed once aspec series yokohama but that tyre was a beauty.

The "nain rukti" would be a technical issue with the braking system somewhere, installing wider tyres is no solution for braking problems ever, we can talk about it one to one kabhi. Problems can be anywhere from low quality rubber (brand won't do any good if they are re stamped old tires, the most common case in the tyre markets of pindi /isl), have u checked the current thickness of your rotors ? Mine were worn out even when the car was driven inside a cantt for the last 5 years which means no aggressive braking, so m guessing they wear out pretty quickly for local assembled hondas that too for an auto.

About the mileage on murree trip, injectors are mostly idle during descent on hilly areas so the combined average comes down to what u get on a highway for a complete trip.

And you don't have a 1970 datsun running mono grade SAE 50 oil, so move ahead of the 10 minute gari geram kerni hoti theory :-)
