Default fuel filter in civic 2005

    hi guys,
i just got my injectors serviced today. i also wanted to change the fuel filter, i even purchased one but i am amazed to found out that there is no fuel filter in civic 2005?
i even had fuel tank cleaned so the guy searched all the way from tank to engine but he could nt find the filter then he said oh yaaad aya is model main nai ata, 2003 tak aya tha...
i went back to the shop to return the filter, he said ase kaise nai hota, phr us ka banda dhonta raha phr har man k paise wapas kiye.
all the service done from shamim workshop, thats big, means yeh chance nai hai k wahan gariyan nai ati tu topi karadi us ne
i just want to ask u guys k kya waqai nai hota ya sirf meri civic main nia hai.
2ndly mane pump bhi change kraya hai. is there any way to test it, gari tu sai chalri hai aur pressure bhi acha deta hai, wats more? coz some time i feel k pick kum hai aur acha hoskta hai.

do note that i did all this thing to bring my car back on petrol. cylinder nikal diya hai and trying to get it tuned on petrol.

I appreciate a good body regardless of the make

odd - I know that the japanese built ones have a different filter and is placed a little further, but yours is a Pakistani built one and the filter is supposed to be there, its hidden under a metal guard plate, Quite odd that the dealership could not find it. temporary blindness maybe

sorry to be off topic, but Suzuki showrooms are giving me the same crap. I've asked them time and again to change the filter on my Swift (2010) and they first claimed its not there, then they claimed its coupled with the fuel pump, and now they claim its not replaceable. :|

if your car is less then 40000KM driven then there is no need to replace the filter...
the one coupled with the fuel pump is not replaceable(as much i know coz its not available in the market alone it just comes with the new fuel pump...)

if your car has done more then 40K kMs then go to the 3S dealers..and get it replaced..

These are good maintenance as they provide a clean flow of fuel to your engine, would you rather have rusty dirty petrol clogging the more expensive injectors.

this filter is expensive because they are high pressure filters doing their job to a very fine level, but they should not cost Rs 4750/- They were available for Rs 2000/- quite easily - just buy some of the green quick couplings - they cost abt Rs 50 each, they come in a bag of 4, bag cost = Rs 200/- (circa 2009)

They are the little plastic locks whose ears stick out of the coupling fitting, Look at your main injector rail fuel feed, it has a plastic connector with a green lock in it, It can break if brittle, and that fitting does not seal without it, the locks are available from Honda dealerships or proper parts stores. The OEM filters and aftermarket brands both costed about Rs 2000/- The big thick metal twin top outlet filters used in old fuel injected Integras were about Rs 4000/- rare items. - I have also rigged up some inline Kjetronic mercedes benz fuel filters in some cars - they cost Rs 1000/- to Rs 1200/- each - Good quality too.
