Default Vibration Hmmmmmm sound from the front - Civic 2008

Guys i dont know how to explain my problem but still i will try to explain you the situation. couple of weeks back i replaced my 2008 brake pads easy task half an hour job everything was normal good braking, no sounds from the pads etc.

Now problem time, sometimes i feel a very loud Hmmmmmm sound and vibration in my car while driving, now the problem is that i myself dont know when that sound will come and which part is making that sound, got checked the whole brake assembly apparently nothing looked bad. I personally feel metal rubbing against metal. to be more precise the sound is more like our local train stopping sound.

Now just trying my luck to get your feedback, otherwise there are no issues in the car everything is just fine.

    Exclamation

either (front & rear) of the wheel disc set (right & left) needs some 'facing' aka 'grinding' aka 'skinning'

you remove the wheels 1 by 1 and physically inspect for the smoothness of discs with your finger tips you will GRAB the culprit surely.

did you replace front pads only or all four pads?
why did you feel the need to change old ones? were they squealing too much?
did you do the job yourself? (diy?)
did you replace with the good genuine honda supplied pads or the cheaper aftermarket alternative?

with such sounds, my experiences say that you must try to elicit it yourself by discovering and replicating the exact conditions at the weird-sound time.

you must also note speed of vehicle, amount of braking, type+consistency of sound...any information to better describe the conditions in which that sound is produced. More signs+symptoms = better chance at correct diagnosis

You can buy the permatex brake quiet spray in Karachi - you are supposed to spray the back of the pads with it and let to dry - then install pads. And use proper silicone grease on the slider pins and also on the pad antirattle clips. For disc milling please make sure that the disc is within thickness specification. If not it may bend as it will be paper thin causing immediate heatup, Or it may also break - the results are too disastrous to discuss. I used to have a pretty hard time getting customers to understand this point.

i changed all 4 brake pads the old ones were completely finished- bought from honda and got them changed from my local mechanic.

i personally feel that it has nothing to do with the speed, but majority times the sound appears when i apply brake and then re-accelerate the vehicle it starts coming and then disappears. i think some angular issues.

& if its a bearing or a HUB sound, then why it disappears or stopped after few secs.

have you considered the possibility that sticking brake caliper pistons may be causing your brake pads to stay in contact even after brake release?

if the axle nut is loose, your bearings are scrap metal now, the torque and locking cotter pin/indent of the axle nut ensures the bearing halves are tightly pressed together. And if the bearings are shot then the noise emmitting from them wont be slight - they would roar and rumble.

Such minute sounds may emit from the axle, - best is to check in a dead silent zone with forward and backward movement - if the brake assy is solid and everything else is solid the noise would show itself from the axle joint - a mechanics stethescope (cheap investment) will pin point the sound - use jackstands when sticking your head and body under the car.
