Default Problem with Civic 2011 starter (Prosmatec)

    Hi all:-

    I bought a prosmatec '11 in august.

The car completed 1500 km and for the first time a problem arised.

I drove the car a few km then stopped, and then i tried to start it back... Then self was stuck.

    All lights went dim.

    Problem was persistent.

Only solution is to leave it for 15-20 mis and then try,,, it will start.

Got it checked by Honda RWP, mall road,, they say battery problem.. (Battery Replaced)... Problem is still there.

Since now i have driven 24k km but problem is here. Got the alternator checked as well.

But it started from the very first 1500 km.. Its insane.. HELP please

Hello Bro. After having gone through entire suggestions, I'll recommend two options:
    1. Get its wiring leading to self starter checked.
    2. Get its self starter motor changed as there is a manufacturing defect in self starter of
    Honda.
In both case u have to contact a good ELECTRICIAN... Good Luck

Kia faida es warranty ka when you are treated like this. Its sad Pakistan main yeh seedha seedha kaam karwana bhi itna mushkil hai.

We some time claim laptop warranty in Dubai and they dun even ask us anything and replace everything I remember once i asked him that the outer part is broken and we are your old customer can you change it and he right away agreed and changed the whole laptop cassing. Here bhai yeh warranty main nahi hai woh warranty main nahi hai.

The car being dead, and restarting (being okay) after 15mins looks like a dead crank sensor.

It heats up and the car stalls. It cools down and ur able to start it again.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

crank sensor does not affect the lamps. poster writes - Lights get DIM.

adding crank sensor to diagnostic points is very valid as well.

Most likely as many others pointed / reported the problem is in Starter motor and I will again say alternator is also not doing the proper charging.

Ure totaly right. I did read that part but overlooked it since he wrote he replaced the battery. Mayb reving the dead car too much killed the battery.

But yes i cant be 100% correct

similar thing happened to my city, I went to Honda and they cleaned the battery terminals and coils. that solved the problem. I don't think that the terminals or coils of your new car can get dirty so quickly but you can try getting those checked. Some times washing the engine during car wash can create such problem.

Same problem arose in my nissan 98.The car wont start immediately, but will start after 15 to 20 minutes.Changed battery but the same problem after one week again. The electrician found that the wire from generator to battery was burnt. The electrical system directly runs on battery so the battery weakens after some time. After switching off the engine, the battery regains strength after 15 to 20 mins.so the car starts again.
