    Default Removed CNG Air Blockage From My Civic Today

    I had around 60% air blockage rubber bush installed in air filter box for CNG. The car had excellent pick & mileage with air block.
    Today i had some extra time & just to kill it i decided to remove it set the CNG without the air block. (Caz i had a chul since long that why they block air). i dont like it.
    As i drive on CNG & PETROL both. i felt that the engine feels suffocated when accelerated hard on petrol with air block installed (normal cruise was fine), but runs smoother without it.
    Here's wat i did
    1. removed the air block rubber bush
    2. the engine died on cng (couldnt idle or accelerate)
    3. Opened up the CNG 1.5 turns 4m the T-bolt
    4. Then engine started idling
    5. tuned cng 4m T-bolt at 2500 rpm
    6. fine tuning 4m regulator screw
    7. All done

    I didnt feel any difference in pick & idling is also fine
    The engine runs smoother on higher rpms now
    Abt 5-10% decrease in pick when moving from halt ( but i think i will b able 2 rectify this as well after some hit & trial runs)
    Will post abt any difference in mileage (couldnt check it due to CNG load shedding)
    Previous mileage
    110 kms within city
    190 kms on highway with AC @110 km/hr (never checked on highway w/o AC)

    Can any body here provide me a burner type ventury?

    Can it be done for Carborator engines too? So far burner type venturies are concerned, they are available here in Pakistan on Landirenzo pakistan website. i don't know why Suzuki people don't install these on their engines, instead they use the air blockage method.

    this is for all the friends who have FF cng setup;

    i recently purchased a car with FF CNG and a few days ago i was servicing throttle body, TPS, IAC valve and noticed that on the air filterbox end the pipe was blocked by half tin can with holes in it while on the throttlebody side of the pipe there was genuine venturi (http://nagaz24.pl/uploaded/product/mini3_924_5.jpg) already installed. I also noticed heavy sludge on throttle body and airfilter pipe also the IAT sensor was full of black thick oily stuff. So i cleaned every thing with Carb cleaner, removed the blockage (tin can) and set the CNG setup by turning the T-bolt etc.
    Searching about the sludge, i found that a bad PCV valve could cause sludge, oil reduction and random smoke. After inspecting the pcv valve it was discovered that pcv valve was broken from valve cover end and the spring was not in it. After opening the tappet cover spring and its piston was found there.
    A new pcv valve was available for 1200 however a kaabli one was available for 250. After servicing all above and replacing PCV valve all these problems were solved;
    - no random smoke
    - no oil reduction
    - smooth idling
    - better mileage
    - better acceleration
    - no rpm fluctuation
    - no backfire
    MORAL:
    Just dont block the air (if you have "nasli" venturi installed) instead get your car properly tuned for CNG it will save your

    Thanks for the reply, i have tuned the T-bolt and fine tuned it but car is still bogging heavily at low rpms, infact it cant even climb the slope leading to my gate unless i rev it to atleast 2000-2500rpm and use clutch to climb :/ earlier it used to climb on very little accelerator and clutch full released.

    Here i am talking about tuning the advancer not the general tuning. i got a landirenzo kit
