Default Price of UAE's Civic VTi 2006 (Specs inside)

I just got hold of the price sheet for Civic in UAE. I wanted to share it with some of you guys who're waiting anxiously for its Pakistani release(I wonder when that'd happen). But it should be a lakh or two more I suppose(or more maybe ).

Allow me to share the specs(as described in the price sheet)

    Model Year: 2006 (new shape)

    Power Steering
    Central Lock
    Keyless Entry
    Power Windows
    CD/Radio/Cassette
    Folding Rear Seats
    Dual Airbags
    Power Mirrors w/Indicators
    Cruise Control
    ABS
    Volume Control on Steering Wheel
    Alloy Wheels
    Side Air Bags
    Leather
    Sunroof
    Automatic Climate Control

    Unlimited KMs/3 Year Warranty
    First 1000KMs Service Free
Free checkup at 58000KMs/ 35th Month
    24hrs recovery service / 3 years
    Full Pre-Delivery inspection

Edit: Changed my mind about the guess thing. It's Dhs.67000 for the VTi. Which equals to roughly about 11 lakh rupees.

LXi(base model) comes for Dhs.54000 (Rs. 880,195 PKR)
EXi(no Alloys) comes for Dhs.59000 (Rs. 961,694 PKR)
EXi(with Alloys) comes for Dhs.61000 (Rs. 994,294 PKR)
    VTi(top model) comes for Dhs.67000 (Rs.1,092,093 PKR)

Here are the price sheet pictures, taken from a 4 year old cellphones camera, so excuse the low quality.

One thing I would like to point out to Pakwheel members is that the LXi(base model) comes with 15inch wheels.

While both EXi and VTi come with 16 inch wheels. Yaaaaay! Awesome!

I strongly doubt they vil have all these specs and then anywhere close to these prices. The amount of local taxes is awsome.

    @ Noz

These prices are for UAE's new Civic Model 2006 as seen below. (The official UAE model alloys are different; not like the ones in the pic here)

Price of UAEs Civic VTi 2006 Specs inside -645790

Basically Pakistan would get the same model/shape. A few things would be missing though. Not sure which ones but my guess would be a lowered spec engine, no cruise control, and some cosmetic changes here n there with the interior. Exterior would be dead on similar I'm quite sure.

Important to note: The prices would also be a lot different(read; a whole lot more) in Pakistan than the ones I submitted in the first post. Because Dubai has no taxes, while in Pakistan new cars have lots of taxes added bloating the price way more than it is in Dubai.

Lemme summarize again, the prices that I shared with you guys are from UAE's 2006(new shape) Civic . And I got it from Honda Showroom(Al-Futtaim Group) located at Airport Rd, Dubai.

These were not from an offer nor from a quotation I requested. It's just a photocopy of a price sheet they hand out to anyone who asks for it while visiting their showroom.

    Guess, that answers it then

Abid...you are right and its unfortunate.

deadoralive...cruise control on the civic is not new. it was for the first time offered back in mid 90-s i remember on the 5th generation civic...but you know...you dont need it as long as you drive in Pakistan as a city driver.
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

You do need cruise control if you drive in islamabad. Thats the best way to maintain 65km/hr when you know there's a speed camera ahead. I use it regularly.

using cruise control you can maintain the speed of ur car without the need of pressing the accelerator... i hope its there in the new civic!
My height has stopped increasing, my width compensates for it.

    @ vicky786

Here's something easier to understand straight from Wikipedia.
Cruise control (sometimes known as speed control or Autocruise) is a system to automatically control the speed of an automobile. The driver sets the speed and the system will take over the throttle of the car to maintain the same speed.

Simply tapping the brake on most cars equipped with cruise control will disable it. The system is operated with controls easily within the driver's reach, usually with two or more buttons on the steering wheel or on the turn signal stalk.

When the cruise control is in effect, the throttle can still be used to accelerate the car, but once it is released the car will then slow down until it reaches the previously set speed.
To add to that definition. Yes, the driver can take the foot off the accelerator once Cruise Control mechanism is set. The car then automagically keeps travelling on the speed at which the CC button/lever was pushed.

I hope that helped you understand how cool Cruise Control mechanism works while driving long distances. I do it all the time in my car travelling to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
