    Default Steerig jam civic 2005

yesterday my car(CIVIC) steering oil circulating pipe got leaked...so i got it repaired ...the problem that m facing now is that when i strt the car the steering is too much hard to move, it take 10 -12 seconds so that it can move freely..I asked the man who repair it he is saying that as all oil is sink it will take time to lubricate the pipe...and steering is getting hard coz of air tht is present in pipe...

hope u ppl will give some positive reply regarding this matter,,,

Its not hard to remove air from power steering. please watch few videos in you tube and you can easily do this at home. I think some thing has been damaged thats why its behaving like this.

just start ur car & open the steering oil bottle cap & turn steering to both sides till end twice.done
r u sure he used genuine steering fluid. honda's are very sensitive to local oil. just get ZIC Rs 450/- & replace the oil.
never ever use cheap local oil in honda unless u want to buy a new steering system.

Coversion of HPS to EPS, costly and need alterations better to stick with HPS.

It involve changing of steering rack (mechanics call is kanghi) as you cannot put EPS motor on hydraulic steering rack.
