Thread: civic shut off on AC on CNG

    Default civic shut off on AC on CNG

    Hi
    I have civic exi 05. Dont know whats wrong.. when my car running on ac suddenly shut off at on idle mode or at signals and the problem only comes when on cng otherwise without ac is smooth n fine. Can any one guide me whats the issue??

    CNG adjustment also check for distributor vaccum pipes to idle-up kit.
    start the engine let it idle for few minutes and switch on the aircon if rpm goes up then engine shut down air-fuel mixture needs adjustment. If rpm drops & engine shuts down it is the aircon idle up kit, check for electrical & vaccum connections to it.

    I have checked no rpm up n down on ac stable on 800 after a min engine shut down also ifeel the prb occur when AC turn off/on auto thermostat with the engine also shut off

    this problem annoyed me so much in my auto vti 98 model, no gas setting worked on it at all
    anyways in short throtle body service, tappet adjustment, and tunning solved the problem
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    guys try changing ur throttle body alongwith sensor.... i have 03 exi prosmatec and it made me cry for good two years till the time i changed it... from chah sultan i bought a kabli one for 3000 only...

    Last month I have done the following services from honda 3s
    Full throttle serviced
    All fluids changed
    Timing belt
    Air oil filters
    New plugs
    New battery open market

    Left only tAppet setting is it necessary to avoid this issue but overall my car perform well no rpm drop n etc just issue on ac

    the A/C idle up is controlled by the ECU, and its done by the ISC motor, for it to work smoothly it should be lubricated properly AND - the idle speed set correctly first, CNG mechanics disturb the idle stop setting causing misinformation to be relayed to the ECU which then causes such problems.

    Correctly adjust the throttle like the factory wants - then work out the problems, if the ISC is stuck or bad - the CEL will be on with its code.

    Ur wish bro but this is xactly wat saved me... I had changed three airboxes, got atleast three sensors changed, ecu checkd by honda, cng kit serviced twice and wat not.. Throttle body was defective and i only changed it once he promised me tht if it doesnt work he ll giv my money back... Rest its ur car n ur money... Do wat u feel like... Tc
