    Question Civic Fishtailing problem..

    AOA..i hav a 7th gen civic 05 on 195/65r15..the problem is while cruising at speeds of 60 to 80kmph in city my car gives a feeling lyk its rear end is swaying wenever it hits a pot hole...this problem is not present wen driving on smooth road...wat cud be the issue??the tyres are new..2k used only..
    kindly help me out...

    Your rear shocks are gone, get them replaced.

    ^^are you sure this issue is due to damaged shocks???cz the car has just 80k on the odo nd its driven with care..

    same problem with my civic....shocks are absolutely perfect...dont know why is this happening....tyres are a bit old....maybe coz of this....need help

    Shocks are finished for sure. Secondly change bushes and bearings.

    Till 80k mostly they are gone. Extra weight of cylinder is there too.

    The first and the cheapest thing you should do is get all 4 tires balanced and get the front wheels aligned.

    change the shocks
    8th Gen Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GLX 2006; 3rd Gen Toyota Prius 1.8 S-Touring 2010; 11th Gen Toyota Corolla 1.3 GLi AT 2014.

    the rear shocks are causing the wheels to "bounce-off" the ground and making the car sway.

    You should also check the rear arm bushings for softness - check with a strong flat tyre lever between the arms and frame, a good bushing should not allow sideways movement.

    i have checked everything... i have 17'' installed.....this is my first experience with 17''....and MASHALLAH with such beuatiful roads in karachi i am fed up with these 17''....alignment done....shocks checked...but the problem remains

    thnx for the response guys..i got the rear shocks checked from honda they say the shocks are ok..no problem with them...
    the guy was of the wiew that u drive ur car with extra pressure in tyre however i always maintain at 30psi...ne ways got it checked from my desi mechanic and he was of the view that ur car's rear Camber needs to be adjusted..as far as i know this camber thingy is for the fornt wheels..wat do u think guys??is he right??

    P.S the car is driven mostly with only one person in the car..and its driven mostly in the city..so i doubt the shocks r gone..and if they are then i dun know what honda is upto..
