My civic was feeling a little heavy on CNG for past few days & extra hiccups were there on low speed with AC on. RPM also started dropping with AC on. But i didnt giv much attention as i was busy in office & wanted to settle it on weekend.
But unfortunately Yesterday it totally stalled & refused to accelerate on CNG but engine remained idling but no acceleration.
i switched to petrol & reached home.
In the evening I checked engine oil, radiator, plug wires, plugs but everything turned out fine. Eventually i decided to have a look at throttle body, but when i opened up air cleaner box i was astonished to find the air filter burnt exactly above the ventury/TB. it was burnt in almost 1x1 inch area & small pieces were missing.
I bought new filter & everything is back to normal.
Can anybody tell me wat happened here?
I didnt hear any PATAKHA or back firing or any unusual engine noise. & it has never done it before
