Get the noise checked, and its always best practice to change the ATF specially if you do not know its age.

@xulfiqar: i have checked my car with different mechanics and most of them are saying that the transmission needs to be changed with a new(kabli) one. however i still believe that the transmission is okay and there is some small thing causing the issue. now i will check and try to fix as per your recommendation

Not sure if you got your problem resolved. But the very first thing I'll suggest is change the transmission oil filter right away (don't wait and don't listen to the mechanic)
Here is my first hand experience from a few years back. At around 80k on odo I had same issue as you've mentioned (2006 oriel prosmatic). I went to honda service and per their recommendation only changed the oil (not the filter). That did not completely resolve the issue. Few days past, clutch blown!!!
had to replace the plates (cost a fortune) + transmission oil + filter this time.

So I suggest to change the filter right away, hope damage is not yet done.

@karawan: but changing transmission filter itself is a big task. btw what i have noticed in my city is that, it shifts hard when it get heatup (after running ~10 kms).

Its true—but still is a lot smaller than what I've gone through (that is, changing plates and then oil/filter again).

in a honda automatic, removing and transmission filter and overhauling the transmission consume equal time, the expenses are different.

nearly all mechanics will tell you to replace the automatic transmission because they do not know how it works or how to repair it. So for them the best solution is to throw a junkyard transmission in the car and pray it works.

What speed and rpm does the transmission shift gears at about 20% throttle pressed? It should be about same rpm for every shift. If its same and you have jerky shift and you are sure that the engine mountings are good and the inner axle joints are good then the transmission needs to be cleaned out.

also post here what ATF are you using?

@xulfiqar: at 20% it usually shifts between 2500-3000 rpm but not for all gears. also when the engine got heatup after running ~10 kms it goes mad and shifts any time. for example at 2000 rpm on 2nd gear when i release the paddle it shifts to third.

mounts are good recently replaced one of them. i use ZIC ATF in it but now i am goind to drain the ZIC and would refill it with geniune honda recommended oil.

This is correct because the controlled transmissions require engine parameter input from the ECU, on a lift there would be max vacuum in the manifold (low load) while the engine is runnig and the trans is too, hence the service procedure is defined.

older ones just shifted up on speed.

trans shifting to 3 or higher while coasting in low speed is normal, its to give you a comfortable ride. Your shift rpms are quite high for 20% throttle, at 20% the transmission should immediately do the 1-2 shift at about 10 or 15 km/h below 2000 rpm and all other following gears should be shifting at about 2000 to 2200 rpm.

Seems like your speed governor is sticking.

Speed governor is inside the transmission and relays vehicle speed to the valve body which causes upshift and downshift.

in a full hydraulic transmission like yours the shift points are set by the balance between the oil pressure control of the throttle valve lever and the governor output pressure. Here is seems like the governor ouput pressure is a little high causing late shift with jerk.
