my vti's rebuild cost was 50,000 plus and lasted hardly a month
but now i realise my car had head issue because of over heating

the safest thing is assembly swap
D15B 3 stage vtec or d16Z6 will swap clip to clip with zero alterations
though i would recomment d16Z6 as it will work perfect with original ECU

Your statements dont make sense, I think you have never ever bolted an engine together or even helped in it.. The lathe machinist if told what to do will follow advice, its now your responsibility to measure everything again and calculate clearances. Then assemble the engine.

I have overhauled quite a few engines and never faced any issues. But I never shortcut anything, If i see something is not worthy of repair like a cracked block I dont repair it.

If an engine overhaul is done properly, it's a good option. However, sadly since most local mechanics are more of butchers, they will just 'tighten' the internals and not use torque wrenches. Using a torque wrench properly to tighten up bolts is very important in an engine overhaul. Even if you get Genuine replacement parts, in the end it's all up to how the work is carried out.

The easy way out is a head swap which will cost less in the long run. Since your engine has already undergone an overhaul 4 years back and if your car runs on cng, it's time you consider a swap.

Replace you head-assembly (i did the same and things are f9 now)
    It would cost max 25k-30k
For inspection of condition , firstly go to a shop where u or ur friend/s have/had a link so ur NOT new to them
Secondly open the Rc for the top view of internals
Open the Timing cover all the way down and check for the wear n tear there , the cam gear , and especially the condition of the bolts would help u identify the best block
The block that i got for my civic had Bolts that were never even opened before and i can say that according to the running and after seeing a healthy water throwing setup , it has around 90-95% + compression

And Btw do get ur injectors cleaned during the swap , all the process would take 6-8 hrs in total (if u dont face problem related to timing belt etc - which is pretty much solved before placing it on the mounts
And if the new assembly has a water body problem (which mostly is ) then stick in ur own in it instead of buying new cheap quality ones

whats wrong in reconditioning the head with new valves, guides, seats (if required), seals and good cleanup??

the key to longevity is following proper procedure, e.g. facing the valve on the seat, if your face margin is less than 2mm wide and only has one level of cut - they wont work for more than a year - even less if you GUN the engine dead cold. If you install valve seals without protective sleeves on the valve stems you will tear the seals. If you dont pay attention to the guide reaming your guides will wear out shortly. Or if the guides are not chilled before installing.

Its not alien, you can get a proper lathe machinist to follow these instructions, for chilling the guides ask a local "rehri kulfi waala" for some "qalmi shora" if you cannot find some raw dry ice.

shade tree fitter ustads find it very convenient to get stuff from Yards and swap instead of working because they have no sense to work upon an engine. They do hanky panky and skin the money.

many of the members here avoid some technical research outside the forum are HAPPY to get ripped instead of doing some DIY for basics and cross check what their USTAAD is doing on the vehicles.

swap it, replace it statements are not out of experience it is because their USTAD did it to them

a valve job requires 3 different degrees of cut with three different cutting wheels, then the valve is lapped for it to seal its face on the entire bevel.
