    Unhappy civic 2000 help needed Gurus !!

    Hello everyone ! So i brought a 2000 model civic Vti automatic transmission. The engine was all ready changed to d15b dual vtec. The car was really in a good looks which opted me to buy it. okay there were several problems which i dint noticed at the time, and they came up after a while and up till now i m fixing them up. I have fixed plenty of them and now I need GURUS to help me please.
    So Guys i swapped this car from auto to manual. though the ecu P2J-J62 and wiring are of auto and of d15b dual vtec brought from shershah. I think previous owner didn't changed the intake manifold and that is same from d16.
    Now the problem am getting is bad mileage that is around 4.5/5 with 205/60/R15 tires there are no codes on MIL. The car picks badly and its runs choked under 2500rmp. The rpms drop down to 400-500rpm, when ac is switched on at idle position and get back to normal after a while, this also happen at times while shifting gear.
    Well this is a request to all those civic Gurus to help me from this problem or advise me to some mechanic who is an expert regrading civics, here in karachi.

    bro i know two mechs one is tariq contact is 03212433269 he is not a desi mech so i hope he can fix ur issue..second one is iftikhar he works in honda south in morning & comes to his shop in evening dont haf his contact will get it for U..

    Im also an owner of 2000 VTI Oriel and pretty much happy with its original D16Y. This car have some serious cons but have too much pros. These cons need special attentions like heatups, suspension issue etc.

    Coming to your problems.


    1- When u changes the transmission it is mandatory to change the ECU of car. Change it to manual one. Im not sure about the D15B manual but for D16Y in the same car uses P2P.


    2-There was no need to change the intake manifold by the previous owner as he had kept the transmission unchanged. The intake manifold, throttle body, IACV, of A/T and M/T is different in this engine. So yes now u need to change all three of above to get good mileage, better pic ups, no choking at certain rpms, no rpm droppage under loads (its directly related to IACV).
