ps why worry about fuel consumption now as the fuel is cheaper and u can fill ur tank is 2700rs only
11.6 with hypermiling? You must be hypermiling incorrectly. I have taken this car's predecessor to 18.2 kml in a mixed drive. That is an even more famous gas guzzler.

reborn fuel guzzler?lol i think its perfectly economical...mine gives me an average of 11 plus minus 1 on easy foot(not hypermilling)....our cultus santros etc almost gives the same figures take 2 at max more but the drive pleasure makes up for that

actually all of my social circle reborn get more than 9 kmpl :p
and any average above 9 is definitely not a fuel guzzler...you get this feeling when u drive a car that gives 3 to 4 kmpl :p

Did I mention that it was a 270k driven prosmatic? . More than 1/3 of the drive was on rural roads in KPK.

I know a guy who drives his reborn on HOBC only and the mileage he's getting with it is 12 km/l, a/c on. Great mileage for a civic 1.8.

Well for me it's rupees per kilometer.
So the equation remains the same because of high octane price

      Things need to be done for good milage;
Engine tune up and get check the tappets.
Use Low viscosity engine oil 5W-30
Inflat tire pressure properly 30 PSI in all tires
      Change air filter
      Change fuel filter
      Do wheel alignment & balancing
Do not carry extra weight in car.
Change tires if old ones become worn out.
Change transmission oil with recommended oil.
Change power steering oil with recommended oil.
Check the brakes and hand brake for not touching with rotor and wheel are freely moving by jacking up the car.
Change PCV valve if found faulty.
      Check the wheel bearings.
Replace the tires size with recommended size as big tires increase the drag.
      Clean injectors by ultrasonic machine.

Injector cleaning is not really necessary if they are not creating any issues. Never had them done on my Civic.

At the risk of getting flamed, I recommend at least maximum sidewall pressure for maximum fuel economy. Tires that are commonly used on the Civic have a max sidewall pressure of 44 psi. This pressure is for cold tires, i.e. the car has been driven less than 1.6 km before pumping up.

@Spano got CL7 2.0 got 8.1 with AC in city and my trips are 12 km daily. hardly cross 70. I read about your experience about cl fuel average. I came to observe you get best milage if you drive at 17km/h
