9006 for high and 9005 for low, I personally prefer 6000k or 4300k color temp

If you opt for some good quality hid's(65 watts). Then of course they improve the visibility.
If you use the chineese hid's(35 watts) costing 4-5k . They are just useless.

HIDs in Oem Housing is one foolish thing ppl do, bro oem headlamps are not designed for HIDs (chinese, branded, or whatever), when a thing is not designed for anything how can it give goood results, HIDs in normal stock headlamps would scatter the lights in all directions (thts the reason you dont have a clear cutoff), and resultantly poor visibility for you and for the oncomming car..... better stay with stock halogens or buy better hallogen bulbs, something like Philips xtreme vision or osram night breakers......
and if only you are so intrusted to have HIDs buy projector headlams first, they are designed for HIDs and would give you better visibility.. but dont buy tht bi xenon projector offerd in market its pethatic
    anyways choice is still yours

Thanks everyone for their valuable suggestions.
@Malikahmedjunaid: You think Philips xtreme vision or osram night breakers will make the visibility better. Wat is the output and where can i get these from . Secondly as you suggested that I shall have the HIDs projector headlamps first. Where are these available and approx for how much.. Can i fit these in reborn.. And then what HID should i go for..

@Chaudhry9: I always thought that the cars with extra bright HID's have a better visibility. Came accross a person who was ready to arrange the HID blasters fitted in stock Mark X..However, I have read the detailed threads by on of the PW members where the difference has been explained i.e. cutoff point and so on..

So what is the final verdict.. Do u guys suggest HID's or simple halogens..

well since you have gone through such threads then u know that HIDs are useless unless you get projector headlights so just get better halogen bulbs

yes xtreme vision gaurentees 100% more light on road, so surely improves visibility and uch more then these chinese HIDs, availaibility is an issue fr sure, in karachi yes they may be availaible and lhr aswell but you have to search for them, i got them from UK and they would cost you around 3500-4000 rs a pair, as for the projectors headlights, well they are avail the bi xenon projectors (chinese) and they would cost yu around 14000 rs, but they are also not tht effective as they are chinese and dont offer good quality, so you gotta have some good stuff, and also for installing tht bi xenon projectors you gotta open you original headlights and get them installed, and i am not for it (my personal opinion though), but you can get a pair of used headlights and get them installed, but in my opinion the best option is to get better halogens and stick to them....
    cheers happy conversion

Rather than starting a new thread, can you guys also guide me on tyres and rims for my civic... I have the factory fitted general tyres that have been driven around 56K.. I was planning to replace them.. Which tyres should I opt for.. While going thru different threads, I realised that Yokohama Db series and Dunlop Lemans were the preffered ones.. Can you share your views on this.. Thanks in advance..
