Thanks for that. In fact, I do need to clean my injectors because my car's been drinking fuel like anything, and with summer approaching it's only going to get worse. Plugs have been changed, wires WILL hopefully soon be changed, and next comes the fuel delivery system. I'll get thefuel filter changed when I get around to cleaning the injectors.

I know how to clean injectors for the most part, but the bigger issue is getting to the fuel rail and taking the injectors off. I have a V6, so I have to deal with 2 banks of cylinders, plus taking off a throttle body and intake manifold in a very confined space in order to GET to the fuel rail is no easy task for a person like me.

Thanks for the link in any case! It'll certainly be helpful.

Shaheer lookout for some place in your city where you could get your injectors treated acoustically. The difference is noticeable on pickup, fuel consumption and the exhaust smell too...

I am personally not in favour of Fuel additives. They are strong solvents, when we pour such compositions to our fuel tank, their first action is to dissolve hydrocarbon scaling from the fuel tank. All the loosen up sediments pollute the strainer attached to the submersed fuel pump and the main fuel filter. Remaining dirt flows inside the engine and so does the gunk cleaned from the injectors. That is the reason, the professional mechanics and auto websites recommend change of engine oil and filters after usage of fuel additives.

Ultrasonic cleaning is internationally accepted MOST effective process for cleaning fuel injectors. It is cheap, hassle free and comprehensive solution for the problem.

if your injectors were really screwed up in the first place, only then you'll notice the difference straight away. also you'll have to drive around a bit for your ecu to learn the new injection patterns...

and if you had a lot of gunk in your fuel tank then all that gunk just neutralized the injector cleaner you poured into your fuel, so change the fuel filter and pour some more cleaner into the tank.

i've used liqui moly. it does work. their shop is at blue area back side, near poly clinic, i think adjacent to some tire shops.

If your injectors have reached a point requiring cleaning that cleaners dont remove the sediment then the only way out is to have them sonically cleaned. nothing else will work, And while at it, replace your fuel filter and clean your fuel rail too.

Which car do you have what model is it ?
How much is its mileage ?
Anyways you can just take the injectors out clean them up or replace them BUT ! Before taking them out you need to be really sure that the problem lies with the injectors. By the way are you ?
Hesitation, stalling, surging, pinging, slight overheating, or lack of power can be caused by caused by not only dirty injectors but because of alot of other reasons too. So...
Check your spark plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, PCV valve, vacuum hoses and fuel pressure.
With your car in park and the emergency brake set, rev your engine to about 2500-3000 rpm. If the rpm remains steady with no surging or decrease in rpm or loss of power, your catalytic converter is probably OK.
Check your transmission kickdown to see if you aren’t mistaking performance problems for transmission problems.
If possible, do a valve leakdown test to see if you have worn out valves or piston rings. (after 200,000 km this becomes more important)

A year ago i took my bro's car to the workshop to clean the injectors - many people told me not to do it - but i did it anyway - Then the car was messed up for like a month - So im just saying only mess with the injectors if you really need to.

Thanks for your interest in the modern technology of cleaning and servicing fuel injectors. This process is worldwide the best solution for rough idling, bad acceleration/pickup, missing on petrol, hesitation, emission problems and increased consumption due to clogged injectors. I welcome all the Pakwheels friend to view my home page, which has some interesting facts about fuel injectors as well as my terms which i am reluctant to discuss here.
